hey all you punk goers, this is my tpic thingy to let all you guys discuss your feelings about crappy bands like good charolette and talk about tight bands like Rise Against and Rancid, if you've ever heard of them... well have fun.

If any of you have heard of ANTI-FLAG i hope you got to go to their death of a nation tour cuz it was one of the best concerts ever- keep me posted on all your punk favorites and band/concert experiences.

i say good charollete should burn in hell. of course they think they are punk they even claim to be idiot. they said "or objective is to revive the punk scene with new sounds"- now that may not be saying "we are punk" but it sure sounds like it. plus he said he didnt want to yell at eachother. if good charolete is so frieken good then prove it, cuz as far as im concerned they suck. the sole definition of punk is to speak your mind through a form of music that fits the scene in which you are speaking for. good charolette just talks about losing girls and house partys. they are emo. punk is like anti flag, stating and fighting for a belief through music.

Yay for all punkers. You all rule. Everyone else sucks because they "attempt to be punk" without meaning to be.

"our objective is to revive the punk scene with new sounds" doesn't mean "we are punk". It means, "we intend to revive punk with new sounds. We intend to change it, as we are using NEW sounds to revive an OLD music form."

But go ahead and be punk. And then turn around and praise Bush for what he did. Way to be antisocial.

I listen to Anti-flag, RISE AGAINST ( yeahyeah), dead kennedys, pennywise, nofx, crass, blah blah. they rule. good charlotte is going to be on the new LIBERALISM album ( not sure if i spelled liberalism right or not). so are a lot of other good bands. who likes propaghandi and leftover crack!? W OO HOO! they rule.

but as I was saying.. I have nothing against Good Charlotte.. if the makers of the new liberalism album think they're good they must be alright I suppose. I havn't really heard them all that much. But, from what I have heard they are pretty talented.. but i'm more into choking victim/leftover crack/rise against/the unseen type of punk rock.

i don't like to see how people complain about how they hope good charlotte will die. they are pissed off at nothing really. it's just a waste of time.

oh and i missed the anti-flag concert! i wanted to go because anti-flag is one of my favorite bands. but i didn't:(

has anybody heard of the new punk tour coming out called "Rock against Bush?? Its looks really good. NoFX's Fat Mike is doing it and bands include,Nofx,good charlotte(unfournatly f***), Green Day(YES),Pennywise,New Found Glory,And others not yet metioned. I think its sounds pretty good and most are makeing new songs about going against bush. Bad move putting good charlotte in there though(left uncapitolized for a reason)

Sounds pretty sweet. Rock against bush..... I like it. :) If I go i'll get the chance to tell you how well Good Charlotte is from my point of view. I haven't really heard much of their music. I just heard they are on MTV and that's why everyone hates them. I've also heard that Good Charlotte is going to be on the new 'Liberalism' album. It's going to be a really sweet album. I'm getting it.

Okay mates. Let's just get it straight. For 99% of everyone here I'd say. We all don't like Good Charlotte from what I've gathered. And that's cool, better than being a bunch of no opinions open minded sissies. But.. just for our sake, for not having to hear good charlotte sucks, every other post. Let's just do this. When you feel you have the urge to post somthing about Good Charlotte with out any real meaning behind it,(Just to flame them) just stop. Becuase Good Charlotte is sucky music understood.

We know they suck, it's obvious. Especially there older stuff. So remember Sucky music understood!

k why do u guys say they suck? how many of there songs have you herd? and they didnt say they were punk they said there trying to REVIVE the old punk WITH ->NEW<- SOUNDS and if your going say a band sucks please keap your oppinions to yourself some ppl actually many many ppl i know LOVE good charolette not because there tryign to be punk but becasue they liek there music the way it sounds not becasue they think there punk...

and hell ya to all those bands (NOFX, rise against, dead kenndys etc.) that do sing wat they think and sign wat ever they want i give them a big hell ya!

Do me a favor: don't send PMs with the same text as a post. I tend to read posts as well. But for the sake of doing it, I'll copy my answer so that all may read yet another insanely long post.

Speaking of stupid posts, yours are also insanely intelligent.

I'll stereotype whoever I feel like stereotyping, because some of the "pro-punk" arguments were just... stupid (although I still don't get the point of the argument, if there is one). You call yourself punk, but don't allow anyone else who even attempts to be punk into your "category". Are you an elitist group? Since when is not everyone allowed to be their own rebel? Are there not infinite numbers of ways to being a rebel? Isn't rebelling against a rebellion a rebellion in itself? (= trying to be a "different" punk is being punk, as it is rebelling). But since when do YOU decide who or what is punk? How do you know what attitude someone has? Or what opinions? I'm assuming your past the entire punk-clothing crap, so I'd like to know if you're a mind-reader and can really tell what everyone believes.

Inconsiderate is considering yourself to be something "better" (or at least in your eyes and the eyes of certain people) and not letting anyone else share your views, calling everyone posers. Out of fear that there may be more of you than you think? That we may all have a little punk inside of us?

Telling you to praise bush wasn't a stereotype. I was simply trying to prove that no one is a complete rebel. Everyone conforms in a certain manner and only rebels in another. You have a different view of perfection as someone else, but some aspects are the same. Being pure punk would mean that EVERY SINGLE ASPECT OF SOCIETY is bad for you. Every single one. And If being punk means only partially having a problem with society, then welcome to the club of nearly 6 billion people that have a problem with at least their neighbor.

Am I glad I copied all that. I didn't know you couldn't see sent messages anymore. Or at least I didn't find any... hmm.
