It is like a lot of other RPGs, but this one, to me at least, is a lot more fun than any other text-based rpg. Once you play enough you'll discover how fun it is...

Ok, here's what you do, kiddos. Get friend, tell them to join, and if they let you attack them over and over and over, do so! You both get exp! And the best part is, you're helping a newb gain levels! And yourself, too. Whatever. I should try that. Get my win/loss thingy better.
