(( OOC: Ok, this is basically going to be a novel-like RP. The main core of the issue is basically an angel versus demon feud. Neither side is "invincible," so don't act like it. You can have as many characters as you like, so long as you are willing to keep track of them all. I myself will have two characters. One will be demon-based, the other an angel. This story is actually loosely based on Morwin's former thread.
Ok, there is a system of balance: Angels are super-beings, but are limited by their moral obligations to not do anything in battle that would damage humans or other natural creatures. Demons on the other hand, do whatever they please, but are weaker than angels, and susceptible to holy damage.
Don't limit your characters either! Angels don't just need to have holy abilities! Remember, they are powerful beings, and can have other facets. Just the same, demons don't necessarily need to follow a strict "Necromancer" or "Warlock" approach to fighting.
If you are new to novel-like RP'ing, just watch others do it.))
It was a cloudy day. The people of the nearby village of Hillsborough went about their daily lives. It was a simple and peaceful village. After a while, it started to rain, and people rushed in-doors.
Entwoine descended down to the ground. He had been watching the townsfolk go about their business and smiled as the gift of life fell over the earth. He dared not to be seen by humans, for it was dangerous, as the humans expected too much of an angel. He walked in the abandoned and now muddy streets, with his flaming sword held in his belt, all of him seemingly untouched by the rain.
Stooping down, he picked up a fallen apple. "The harvest does not appear to have been as successful as last year." He looked at the clouds. "The rain shall end soon, I must be going." He quickly flew up and out of view of the village, just as the people had started coming out.
((Scene change))
"Jigudash! Dirkinaldie!"
Those bastards!
"Kilopact! Mer Defnukum!"
They'll pay for imprisoning me!
The earth gave way, and a slightly rotted hand rose out of the ground. The rest of the body followed soon after.
Crey stood in the open air again. It had been so long. He wanted revenge, and didn't care who he killed.
He walked over to a lake not 30 feet away from where he had dug himself out of the pits of Hell. He looked at himself in the lake, and strangely enough, enjoyed his new appearance. Chunks of his flesh were missing, and remaining chunks were decaying. His fingers no longer possessed in flesh, and all that could be seen of them were dagger-sharp bones. His left eye had fallen out, his right eye was glowing an eery red light, and most of his hair was missing. His ankles and below also possessed no flesh. His torso was a complete mess. One could see his innards, and from what he could tell, his heart was missing. Part of his ribcage stuck out of some of the remaining flesh. He turned around and looked at his back. Flesh was still there, but his spine was showing through.
After inspecting himself for a bit, Crey found he could uncannily take off certain parts of his body, including his feet and fingers.
At that moment, a gazelle and its fawn hopped out of the woods. The fawn was blissfully unaware of the situation, and nearly ran into Crey. The gazelle jumped in front of the fawn to protect it from Crey, and made some noises, telling its young to run away. The fawn, scared out of its wits, ran back into the forest. The gazelle stood its ground as Crey looked at it...
Revenge...
Crey stabbed his bony fingers straight through the heart of the gazelle. The gazelle fell to the ground, and started convulsing. In a half minute, the gazelle lacked all the organs and flesh it used to have, being only a skeleton. It got up off the ground, but no longer had any will to resist Crey, and instead offered Crey the chance to hop onto its back, which he did.
((And, que end of long post))

OOC:
Yeah, I'll have one. It'll be a demon much unlike vag's. You'll see. ;)
IC:
A stranger walks into a small town. It appears to be a young man, 19 maybe, who has cherubic features and a cheerful disposition. He walks into a tavern and sit down on a stool. The bartender walks over to the boy and starts up some cheerful banter. The boy looks at the bartender and smiles. The bartender's head explodes and the boy is covered with gore. He licks his face with a longe tounge covered in warts and thorns...
Pan out to a traveler standing on a ridge some distance over the town.
He sees flames licking the tops of the thatched houses and faintly, he hears screams. Prudently, he decides to skirt the town and continue onwards...

((OOC: Your character seems a little powerful. Are all his abilities done with his mind? Because just detonating people's heads with his eyes is a little... powerful, unless it's eventually built up to in the story. Remember, angels and demons do have to fight each other eventually))

Occ: His powers are mind powers. He has trained since the begining of time. He gets tired after much "magik", that is what I am calling his powers, use. But to asplode a puny human's head? Come on! Like so First Apocolypse. Duh! It will take more than that to kill an angel.

˙·٠•●Motherloader●•٠·˙
09-23-2005, 05:56 PM
OCC: Angels should not be able to harm humans. Period. Like, If we are facing off, an angel cannot call winds to pick up a nearby barn and skwish me. If they smashed the barn, they'd be hurting the person it belonged to. They have to use only their own powers. Or else we'd be like "Ah! A falling church!" and we'd die.
Vagrant

OOC: Of course, each side has their own limitations. Demons will be weak to holy abilities, but angels are restricted by the moral obligations to only certain methods of fighting. For example, Crey will be a necromancer/minion-based demon, but Entwoine will have a special ability that will destroy 2/3 of his standing army, although the ability will take a lot out of Entwoine. However Crey is capable of raising all slain enemies, including fallen angels, so the longer the battle is, the more minions Crey has.

OOC: Crey can't speak human languages either. His native language burns human ears, but angels understand it clearly. However, his minions translate for him to human languages.
But anyways, we're revealing too much in the OOC. Let's just let the rest wait until later! :)

OOC: You misunderstand. To humans, it's like hearing nails on a blackboard. It's just painful.
IC: Entwoine floated above the village, cloaked from their sight by his veil. He watched them go about their daily lives. Soon, he noticed that there was a fire far to the north. He rushed over there, and found the entire village ablaze. He could tell that what few survivors who had lived had run away.
Entwoine descended to the outskirts of the burning city, raised his right hand, and chanted something in Angelic. The fire was out instantly, leaving the city only smoking.
"That's odd, this village was very careful about how it used its fires. I think I'll look around a bit."
((switch scenes))
The skeletal gazelle leaped out of the forest and onto a gravel path, which also bordered a large grass field. The place was well shaded, and very green. Crey felt angry for a reason he did not know.
Out of seemingly nowhere, a horseman raced out of the bushes right next to Crey, and smashed straight into the skeletal gazelle, causing the gazelle to fall to bone dust. The horseman stopped, and was slightly shocked at this occurrence. "I'm so sorry, really, I'm sorry."
Crey was really pissed now. His gazelle was gone and this thing... had destroyed.
Eirluku! De gopal eck ti dawnl...
You'll suffer for that...
The horseman screamed for a second, holding his hands to his ears. Crey realized that his talking pained the man. Crey kept muttering things in his Demonic, and the horseman simply twitched with pain at the sound.
While Crey was paining the horseman, he also walked towards him. Crey took his dagger-like fingers, and sliced upwards from the horseman's stomach to his heart. The horseman fell, and convulsed much like the gazelle had. In no time at all, he looked almost exactly like Crey, except that he was shorter and lacked the glowing red eye.
Crey turned to inspect the horseman's steed. It was a sturdily-built horse and Crey admired it for a moment. The horse was whinnying the whole time, and Crey longed to shut it up. He plunged his fingers into the horse as well, and it soon was a skeletal mount.
After the the horseman was done convulsing, he got up slowly, and took a knee before Crey. "Master, I am your humble servant." Crey grunted, not understanding human. The horseman soon realized, and then tried his newly changed vocal cords, saying the same thing in demonic.
Crey liked this.

The feeble old man limped down the dirt path to the town. He sung a crude to himself as he went, making the words up along the way:
"I don't got no money
Don't got no food
Don't got no friends
But I don't need em
Diddy Dum Bibbly Fem."
The path turned slowly into a road, and eventually into an avenue. People bustled along it, going about their everyday business. A dog barked in the background, and dirty children with just a long shirt on ran between the carriage wheels, playing a foolish game.
The road became more and more crowded, and eventually it was filled with people. The old man did not look at anyone, and no one looked at him. A path opened up as he walked down the road, as if people did not want to get near him. The man abruptly turned to the right and walked into a shop.
The shop was dimly lit, and empty, except for a shopkeeper bustling around cleaning his wares. For 15 minutesthe old man just stood there, and though the keeper looked right at him, he did not see the old man. He abruptly cleared his throat, and the keeper gave a start.
"Ey, there 'ou are! Ay 'as gettin a bit word that you'snt gonna show!"
"Have you got my merchandise?" the man asked. He was clearly in a hurry, yet his voice did not betray it. He spoke in a deep, resonant voice that could chill you to the bone if he was angry.
"Ive it in back. Ill go get it"
"Please hurry. I am not getting any younger."The keeper returned with a long, thin box, about 12 inches long. He handed it too the man, and the man handed him a small bag of gold. The man left.
The shopkeeper dumped the bag out and couted the gold. It was all there, but there was a small medallion of glass in it, too. Looking closely at it, he could see that there were small scratches on it. Thinking nothing of it, he gave it to his young daughter as a gift.

It is an apple, and it reeked of Good. The apple stung slightly when Rysho touched it,but he ignored the pain. He could see a faint silver trail that appeared to disapear shortly after its begining. But Rysho was not foolish, he knew that the angel alighted into the clouds. He looked at the sky, ploting to get up there somehow...

*OOC: First major foray into the world of Novel-Rpging, I hope it comes out well*
He was not a normal angel. Clad in tattered rags, looking like a tramp, the only thing he shared with his kin were his eyes, the eyes that blazed with righteous flame.
Also, unlike his brothers, he lived among the people. At this moment, he was sitting in a bar, where the bartender's head had recently exploded. This leaving no one to top up his drink, he stumped outside, eyes flaring, murmuring something in a foreign tongue, which, when translated, equaled something like "Damned idiotic humans, they suck so much knowledge out of their head, they're bound to have a few craniums implode sooner or later."
After his rant, he became aware enough of the world around him to notice that a great something was going on. The masses were all moving in a general direction. Keeping from making eye contact with anyone, he moved among them, wondering what was up.
*OOC* I didn't think it was too bad. No ordinary angel. I have plans in store for him.

The old's man house was the polar opposite of himself. Large and bright, it was impossible to miss. Or, would have been, had it not benn in the middle of a supposedly cursed wood. A long entance hallway led to a warm kitchen. It smelt srongly of herbs and pork. There was a den just across the hallway, where a large fire was raging. Upstairs was the library, full of old, musty smelling books. The bindings were ripped and frayed, the color worn out of the leather colors. There were, however, two books which looked band new. One was maroon, with no title on the edge. The other was dark green, titled "The Laws of Love."
The man was seated in the library, with the box in his lap. He opened it, and examined the contents carefuly. Lifting it up, it seemed to be a long, blood red bag, with some small bulge going up the middle. He extracted it, and it was a just a rod of lead.
He placed it in the fire and went back to the library. Taking "The Laws of Love" from the shelf, he opened it up. Rather than the pages flittering, they remained stark still. They were glued together! In the middle, there was a small hole carved out of the pages. It was empty.
The man placed the book back on the shelf. He took the lead rod from the fire, and placed it back into the sleeve. Taking the untitled book from the shelf, he continued the trek back into town. His door swung shut, and on it it said "Jeremiah E. Smith"

What was the cause for this?
Being an angel, of course, he was immune to all spiritual movements aimed at humans. Being separated from all spiritual beings for so long, however, had ruined his sensory abilities. He was down to Touch, Taste, Sight, Smell, and Sound. A horrible fate for someone of his origin.
Knowing great events were afoot, Klavier went deep into the woods, to hide until the time was right. No one saw him leave. They were all too busy screaming.

Jeremiah continued to read from the book, and the trees took definite shape. Bending over backwards, they created archways, which turned to stone as Jeremiah spoke.
Eventually he was in a ruined city, overgrown with vegetation, and reeking of rot. Jeremiah stopped reading his book and took in his surroundings. With the air of a man who had done this many times before, he walked amongst the street. He came to a big, impassable stone wall. With one last glance into the green book, he spoke one ward.
"Porta!"

A man stood in a far corner, shrouded in shadow.

"Ah, it is Calzas. I have not seen you in many a millennia. What do you need?"
"I have lost it sir. I do not know where it went. I opened the book for the first time since we last spoke, and it was gone."
"No, not..."
"Yes," Calzas interuppted. "I need your help, Agragon. I do not know what to do,"

Crey, his new mount, and his new minion padded along the road until they reached a village. Crey grinned wickedly, and told his mount and minion to wait.

A few villagers finally realized what was going on, and escaped out of the village, screaming at the top of their lungs "The dead have risen against us! We have angered the high beings!"
Crey sent a messenger skeleton to summon his mount and horseman. He then looked over his new allies. He had nearly a score of skeletal servants now. When the horseman and mount arrived, Crey decided to organize. "What is your name, horseman?"

"Pestilence, let us take more of these beings for our harvest."

Grudgingly carrying her mother's baskets, Niira mumbled something of the unfairness of life and how few good surprises it held. No wonder, really. After her father left his wife for some young vixen, things had started going sour. Her mother was beautiful, there was no doubt about that, and it being untraditional to remain a widow, many men, both young and old, courted her. Most weren't too friendly. Niira wasn't a sight like her mother was, she always assumed she inherited most of her attributes from her father. From the rather homely look to the aggressiveness she often failed to hide.
Continuing on her way, she stopped by the baker's, as her mother had requested. The long wait didn't improve her mood by much, but the smell of smoke got her attention. As if someone was baking the bread over an open fire, but that was rather unlikely, considering by the time her thought was through, the roof started to collapse from the flame. Running towards the door, she knew what would happen. And it did. A bright flash, burning like a red-hot iron. But only for an instant.
"It was the flour. The powder in the air caused an explosion..." She said, to no one in specific. And then she went limp.
Quiet followed. She felt nothing, could move nothing. Heard nothing. Said nothing. For what seemed an eternity. She thought she saw a strangely out of place person walking by her. Or what was left of her, as she had no specific sense of "being" anymore. Having been torn apart in an explosion changed your view on things quite dramatically.
"Is this death? Am I dead or just horribly wounded? Will it only be a matter of time before death finally finds me as well? There are a lot of dead here... the entire village is burned. There's nothing but smoke and ash in the air. Smoke, ash, and death."
As she slowly slipped into a sort of unconsciousness, death suddenly appeared. Not cloaked with a scythe, as the fairy tales, or rather nightmare stories, tell. No, this... thing, for a lack of a better description, seemed to have a human body, but one that felt "wrong". As if it were nothing but a set of clothes worn when visiting the newly deceased. It did not take her to her final destination, which she was convinced COULDN'T be heaven, instead he bent down closely to her, whispering something into her ear that wasn't really there anymore. But she heard it anyway. Had she still had her voice, she would now have screamed until she lost it from the pain the creature's words had caused, burning everything human inside her.
"Kirtep nef'hur alem. Schat'aa makep"
Come with me. My master awaits
And she wished the thing had at least granted her death.

"Aren't I supposed to be an angel? I suppose not." Being chucked out of the supposed "Heavenly Father's" domain really changes one's view on certain things. And this is what happened. Many millenia ago. Stripped of his wings for an unspeakable deed, he had been thrown to earth and left to suffer. And he had. He had lost all trace of power, save the eyes which still flared from a source within him.
Onward he wandered, rather than purposefully, as before, now he wandered wantonly, waiting for someone, something, to cross his path.

With a shriek, Niira awoke, in a way. At least she because semi-conscious of her surrounding. It was abstract, far beyond anything a human could describe. And yet the place itself was a better description than any human could make, for without a doubt she realized she was in hell. So this is what it felt like, to be dead. Strange, somehow. She wondered if she would get tired of it soon and be bored to... well, not death, but for all eternity, at least.
You have died, yet you are not dead, little one
She felt a tinge of irritation. The thinking she had done for the last few minutes was obviously all unnecessary. Or was it hours? Who knew, who cared down here. She wasn't even dead in the conventional sense, which caught her interest, despite the current situation. Any attempt to speak was futile, however, she managed to get out no sound at all. She wasn't even sure anymore if she shrieked or imagined it.
The world is changing and different times are abroad. I must prepare myself
Not getting anything out of the think speaking in her mind didn't help her situation much. She couldn't move, nor speak, so there wasn't much left to do but listen to whatever it might have to say. But it spoke no more. For what seemed like hours, or days, an eerie silence crept over everything. At one point, she was even afraid she had lost all sense of hearing, until she remembered that her ears and possibly half her head were missing.
"So much for not hearing..."
The time has come for you to return. There is much to do and you play a role in it as everyone
She hated the voice by now. It sounded disgusting, the sound a hundred dying animals would make if tortured to death. Maybe even worse. Having never heard a hundred dying animals at once made the comparison difficult. Not that it mattered, because before she found a way to describe the voice, everything disappeared and was replaced by a pain she held for impossible. Nothing could hurt this much. Not even losing an arm, half your head and most of your skin.
She was back in the village. At least the blackened remains. Back infront of the burned down bakery she had been flung out of. The pain remained, and standing up was oddly difficult, which turned out to be because she was missing half of her left arm. And most of her skin. She didn't even want to know what her face looked like. All she knew is that she was alive.
Despite her blackened and useless muscles, she felt an odd strength creep over her.
"Oh god no..." she muttered, realizing what probably happened.

Crey grinned wickedly at the hapless villagers in front of him. "Are you sure that was all of them, Pestilence?"
"Yes my liege."
"So it shall be." The people cowered in fear at the sight of Crey. It was bad enough to see the dead walking, but Crey was creepier. His remaining eye burned bright red, and everything he touched started dying, even the ground he stood on. The regular minions did not have either of these traits.
"Who wants to die first?" He screeched in his native tongue. The whole human village shuddered, and Pestilence went up to them and started translating. The fear really shone in their eyes now, but they could do nothing. They were unarmed, and it's not like the undead mind missing a few limbs.
Crey inspected the crowd. His eyes rested on a young, but strong male, who could've been in the local militia, had he not been caught. Crey went up to him, and stabbed his bony fingers through the heart, making another minion.
"Your new name shall be Death."
"Yes master."
After picking out the young man, the rest of the crowd got jittery. Some women fainted, some of the men bared their teeth, and the children cried. Crey then started changing all the townspeople one by one.
Once finished with these ghastly transformations, Crey stood back and looked at his new force. He now had two score of regular minions, and two elites. He smiled, and simply started walking on down the road. "Come," he said, and they followed.

A quandary. What shall I do? There is no mistaking it- it is happening again. You could smell it in the air, hear it in the winds, see it in the trees. Something was up. I needed to find out where, who, why, what, how- I'm in the dark! That just makes my predicament worse. I have to get the medallion, but there is no way- I cannot kill an innocent. Not that I mind of course, but the damned chain... How was I supposed to know what would happen?
It was dark in the room Calzas was brooding in. The keepers daughter was asleep in a bed on the other side of the room. No- not asleep, for her eyes were open, but in a trance. The glass sphere was around her neck.
Just minutes before, Calzas had located the little trinket. He hurried here immediately and quickly turned the woman off before she could scream. He tried to take the object, but it was firmly fixed to her neck.
"Damn." he muttered. "I did not want to harm anyone."
But he knew he had no choice. He drew Buntin from it's sheath. He raised it high, and swung it down at her neck. It bounced off. Cursing to himself, he tried again, with the same results.
"If I cannot take the medallion, I will take the person who controls it."
He picked the girl, still in the trance, up, and slung her over his shoulder. He left the room, the building, and the town, with the full intention of finding out what the hell was so unsettling.
OOC: I'll soon be joining the fracas. But on the side of good or evil, hmm?

Rysho, feeling the strong Good again, turned around. The sight was amazing. An angel was diving down, head first, toward the ground. It seemed as if the very night sky was on fire around the being.
Wasting no time at all, Rysho called upon the dark power within him and tried to squeeze the being's brains out through his own eyesockets. All he got in reward was a small look of annoyance on the angel's face. This provoked an extreme rage in rysho, causing him to go into his ultimite form. He was large, orange, and convoluted, with claws several feet long and huge powerful jaws. He beat his powerful wings and took off. He had no conciousness except for a burning desire to kill...
OOC: Hope you think my "power" isn't too strong. I cannot use it at will, and I cannot use my "magik" when I am in my rage. This is getting fun.

The forset Calzas was in abruptly ended. The earth here was blackened and charre,d with the carcasses of dead trees and animals strewn about. Something had happened here, but he did not know what, nor did he particularly want to find out.
He looked up into the sky. He was taken aback- a clash of two immortal beings was raging. An angel shone out in they sky, charging down towards a large orange monster rushing back up towards him. He had never seen anything like it. He knew one thing, though, this was no place for an unconcious woman.
He knew that he could not hide the girl too far away- without the glass jewel near him, he was powerless. He took a few steps into the woods and hid her in the cranny of a large tree. He drew Duntin. But a change had come about the sword- rather than being dull and useless, it was as sharp as a sword could be- more than a million layers thick. He tested it one some nearby trees, and they quickly fell to the ground like paper.
Calzas stepped out of the wood, sword at the ready.
OOC: OOh, a cliffhangar. Now you get to see what side I'm really on.

Rysho dove to avoid a swipe of the holy sword. He decided to bring the fight to the ground, where he didn't have to worry about flying. He hated heights and falling was the one thing he feared. He landed with a thump and saw that the angel was following. "Yes!" He thought as he saw that the angel was going to come in for a passing swipe with his sword. As the angel would try to impale him, he would simply hold out his claws and turn the Good being into spagehetti. He took a moment to look around and saw that there was an old man holding a sword. He ignored him, unknowing if the man was friend or foe, and braced for the oncoming assult...

The giant monster had landed. Good, this meant he could get in the fight. Not that he couldn't fly- he just hadn't in many years.
But of couse, on the ground he was swift. And with the help of the little green book he was even faster. He shouted one word from it:
"CURRO!"
With amazing swiftness he charged at the monster, timing it so that himself and the other angel would hit him at the same time. As he got closer and closer, he saw the giant fangs and claws. He hoped he hadn't gotten himself in over his head...

IC:
The swooping angel fell right into his trap. His armor simply clanged off of Rysho's claws but it disturbed the angel's flight path so much that it caused him to slam into the dirt. Just as he was celebrating the angel's defeat, he was hit with an astounding force from behind. The old man, with a wild look in his eyes, had charged him and slamed into him. He has suprising strength for a mortal, unless... "Blast!, another angel!" He would have to retreat now. He strained his reduced conciousness until he could get control of his rage. He was returned into his normal, jovial looking self, but had a strange glint in his eyes now. The old man was taken aback and did not attack once he saw Rysho transform back to normal. That small gap of time gave Rysho the precious seconds to send out another mental blast, stronger than the the last, full of horrible images and sounds that would drive any mortal insanse... The man flinched and stumbled when the blast reached him. When he regained his composure he looked up to see an empty field, showing no signs of the battle that had just taken place...

Entwoine got up from the crater he was in. "Silly demon thinks he beat me."
Entwoine muttered something in angelic, "Ishnu dael dich dire!" and the demon was shackled to the ground by metals that humans would not discover in thousands of years. Entwoine took his sword, cleaned it off, and flew over the now shackled demon. He casually swung the blade around, and pointed it straight downwards, charging.
((Change scenes))
Crey's army marched along. In practically no time flat, he had destroyed 2 villages and had a sizeable mass of undead. Things were going well for him.
"Halt!" a human yelled, riding to about 100 yards away from Crey. A force of about 20 men stood there.
"So, the local militia's arrived, eh?"
The militia ignored Crey's talking, as their helmets protected their ears. One particular human caught Crey's eye. He was wielding a hefty warhammer in one hand, and a book in the other. Crey whispered to Pestilence and Death, "What the hell is that guy over there?" he said whilst pointing.
"My liege, that is a paladin," the two elites said in unison. "They stand for the force of good. Be wary, master."
"Very well. I shall grant you two the power of conversion. Make me some soldiers out of that militia. The minions will aid you. As for me, I'm going to make that paladin work his magic for the force of dark."
Death and Pestilence grinned, and felt their fingertips glow with the power to convert the enemy soldiers. They charged, leading a majority of the minions. Crey flew (no, not literally) at the paladin.
The militia fought hard, wrecking many minions. One even managed to chop Pestilence's arm off, but he ravaged a nearby minion's arm and continued fighting. The militia was made short work of in no time at all. The whole militia was converted at the loss of about 30 skeletal minions, leaving the army with about 10 minions, 20 soldiers, and 2 elites.
The paladin uttered some spell, and Crey felt his skin burn. He growled so ferociously, it would skin anything but the hardiest of creatures alive. Crey's fingers tore deep into the paladin's armor, but did not break it. Out of desperation, Crey's fingers pierced the paladin's neck. The paladin convulsed, and soon became another deathly minion. But this minion was different from most, even Pestilence and Death.
The minion got up and looked at his hands. "No... no!!!" he cried.
"What's this?" Crey was angry... this minion should have no will whatsoever. Crey pierced the paladin's armor with his fingers and stabbed the heart. The paladin convulsed again, and this time the armor shattered.
The new minion got up and bowed before Crey. "That's more like it. You shall be called War."
"Yes, master."
Pestilence, Death, and War now stood before Crey. He surveyed the change in his army.
"Minions are easy to make up for. Soldiers, not so much. Come, let us reap the fields of these prey."

Paul Krieger was the local preist in Kayl. He was known mostly for his services and his healing ability. With a wave and a prayer he could cure most illnesses, and many came to him with a wart or head cold for him to heal away.
What he was not widely known for was his fighting ability. To most that asked, he claimed that he did not practise ways of harming people. But his close friends, or friend rather, knew him for more than he said. Most nights Paul could be found either praying or in his church backroom, practising various fighting styles. It helped him to relax he said. He had invented his own style, combining elements from various martial arts skills with many techniques of despelling evil he learned from the many religous books he owned.

Before Entwoine could say a word, the trio were back in the deserted city where Calzas had spoken to Agragon.
"We shall be safe here. If you will excuse me, I have some business to attend to."
Calzas left Entwoine behind and went to where he had spoken to Agragon earlier.
"Agragon, my Lord, I have retrieved it. There is one problem, though. It is affixed to the neck of this woman. I have tried everything but it will not come off."
Agragon took the girl in his arms. For two hours he attempted in vain to remove the pearl from her neck, but to no avail.

Crey's minions followed unquestioningly, but didn't know what he was doing. Crey stopped a foot away from the floating ethereal being. It was impossible. She should have been dead, yet she stood here, alive as anyone else seemed to be. She had long figured out that some demonic master had brought her back to do his bidding.
"Not with me though. I do no one's bidding!"
She had just enough time to fortify her will and convince herself to remain loyal to herself, when an apparent survivor spotted her. Not that it would have been a problem, had it not been for his weapons. A bow outlined half of his body and a dagger hung at his side.
"Another one! I found another one!" He called to friends Niira hadn't seen yet. He didn't wait for them though, and before she could consider her options, an arrow flew at her and pierced the charred remains of her flesh. Waiting for a second death, her expectations were disappointed. She did no such thing as die, she did not even feel pain. Neither the fifth nor the sixth arrow could do any damage. A newfound instinct told her to charge at the enemy.
Enemy? They're humans! Like I am!... or was...
The first went down without any resistance, the look of shock still on his face. Her swipe across his face clearly dislodged his neck by a few centimeters, she heard the spine crack and felt an odd thrill. The others were not so lucky, they're weapons were plucked from them and used against them. The first companion had the honor of feeling his axe bite his own skull, the second was pierced with the remaining 3 arrows in his quiver, and the third felt the thrill of being choked by his friend's bow. A new strength filled her and she went back to the first attacker, who lay paralyzed on the ground. His jaw was also broken, the only sign of life was his panicked breath and gargling attempts at a scream. She bent down, choking him until the life fled from his eyes as well. Even as she killed the last one, she could feel her body return to her, an unholy present for her equally unholy deeds.
"Whereto now? My purpose? Why am I here?" She knew who she was asking, it was not a desperate cry for help. She knew she would receive an answer.
Follow the smell of Pestilence, Death, and the doings of War, and their master, they will attract much unwanted attention. Run like the wind, little one! Run!
From that day on, the voice never returned to her, but she no longer needed it. She knew there was much to come. And whilst running, she began plucking arrows from her body, never seeing a drop of blood leave the wounds.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Or rather, a banging. Or rather, erratic noise from outside the door. Paul slipped on his sandels and opened the door. A woman stood there. But she was no woman. Her face was contorted in agony, and yet she was smiling. Her body was disfugured, her fingers clawed. A distinctive aroma of evil poured from her half decomposed flesh. Paul lept backwards.
"Begone, Demon! This is a place of worship, you may not enter!"
The demon cocked her(its?) head almost quzzically, but Paul knew she had no thoughts. She advanced.
"For your own good, you must turn back now.", Paul said, quiet as a grave.
One more step was all the demon could take before Paul descended upon it. He quickly brought his hand to it's face in an open palm strike, and the demon's head simply came off.
If you looked closely at Paul's palms, you could see the slight outline of a cross on each. Other details of Paul's appearance included glass bottles of holy water strapped to his side. A sword, long and adorned with small jewels and crosses, was sheathed by his side as well. A large metal cross hung on a chain around his neck. Some things you couldn't see were a layor of chainmaile under his tunic and large cross imprint on his chest.
Paul stepped lightly over the now fallen body of the demon, which was slowly crumbling to dust. From the church, which was situated on the top of a small hill, he could survey the entire town. Doorways had been broken down, and screams could be heard from inside buildings. Everywhere, similar demons as the women could be seen lurching towards potential victims.
"There is much to do.", Paul said to no one in particular as he unsheathed his sword.

Crey's army trudged onto the next town. Except he found this was the town Rysho had destroyed. There were a few people who had just come back to try and rebuild the town. Crey's elites simply converted them and added them to the minions.
Crey longed to have more power... there must be something he could do besides raise an army, transform things, and see the ethereal. Unbeknownst to him, the more minions he collected, the wider the area that died when he stepped on it.

Sorry, it's comin now.
IC:Calzas and Entwoine stood in the ruins of a village. Entwoine had a severed, burnt arm in his hand. It was perfectly normal, apart from the fact it was twitching.
"The demons are ammasing an army. We will have little chance against such a large number of the undead."
They later saw the tracks of the unicorn and the ogre.
"No bodys." Entwoine said. "They must be converted, too."
Calzas: "We need an army."
Standing in a human village, the two angels had a large number of people gathered together in the market. Calzas stepped out and told them the plight- dumbed down, of course, so they could understand it. He told them that they wanted any man who could bear arms to come and follow them, and help them fight the forces of evil. All instantly volunteered.
Entwoine whispered to Calzas: "We can't take them all. It would leave this village to be slaughtered!"
Calzas replied, "We need every man we can get! We take them all."
Entwoine refused flat out. Calzas, desperated to get moving, caved in. They hand picked the best men for the job:
10 men with swords, 5 with axes, and 15 with just farm implements.

OOC: Umm... right now, Crey's only ability is necromancy. Calzas and Entwoine are capable of more than just raising armies.
IC:
Entwoine did not want to bring the humans in the first place... they might prove to be a hindrance, and Entwoine most definitely did not want the humans to die.
"Let's find the demons and get this over with quickly." Entwoine whispered to Calzas.
((Change scenes))
Crey's army of death decided to halt for an hour to fix any limbs that had fallen off during travel. "The one thing that the undead have a disadvantage with is everyday tasks. Everything else they do perfectly."
3 Elites, 25 Soldiers, 15 Servants, 30 humans, 1 undead-ogre.
Cleansing his city town did not take long. Kayl was a small town, and Paul was quick. He would jump from one quasi-demon, as he soon realised they were, to the next, severing their heads or simply immobilizing them so he could concentrate on the next. Soon all were destroyed and crumbling. The few survivors slowly realised as was clear and came forth to praise Paul.
"Please, I have done nothing already required of me! I must leave to check other towns, and help if need be.", said Paul, raising his hands.
"You go nowhere without me Paul, proclaimed the local swordsmith, Karl.
"Karl. I knew I could count on you!", Paul said, smiling. "You will need a weapon."
Paul produced a large broadsword. It was simple, yet effective. After a quick blessing from Paul, it was placed back into Karl's hands.
"You are now a servant of all things holy. It is your duty to rid this world of evil.", Paul said. It was a statement of fact, not a question. "I will not ask any more of you to come with me, for you have suffered much. I hope you will put us in your prayers until we return.
Paul and Karl set off out of the town.
"This is gonna be one of those long arduous journeys, right?", sighed Karl.
"Probably."
"I wouldn't have it any other way."

Rysho knew it was time to tell Crey. He felt the Good. And he felt other people join the Good, small and insignificant, but there none the less. He was annoyed that Rysho was interupting the march, but once Crey understood that they might be able to overwhelm the angels with the undead army, he was interested. Calzas and Entwoine were arguing again. Could they ever get along? Calzas knew that they would need all the help they could get- could Entwoine not see this?
But Calzas knew that Entwoine was better an ally than all their 'army' put together. And he still needed his help. Calzas disbanded the group, and brought the unconcious woman out.
Calzas again attempted to pry the glass medallion off of her neck, using exagerated motions. He would not ask for help from this angel, but if he volunteered it, so much the better.

Don't start creating armies unless you specifically try or aim for it. Remember, Crey's only abilities are involved with his army right now, and thus he's the only one with different military rankings such as elites, soldiers, and minions.
Crey inspected Rysho, and said to him, "Yes, a fallen angel would be excellent... but we need more power to do that. Another village would suffice. Also, the images you gave me are great, but they do not entirely clue me in to where to find the angels."

IC: Paul and Karl trekked along the only road leading away from Kyle. 3 people jumped out of nearby bushes.
"Fellow or fiend?", The foremost one demanded.

"I don't know why I trust you, stranger, but I do.", the left most one stepped forward. I am called Baldur. He is Dietrich and he is Felix.", hes said, pointing to the middle and right bowman respectively.
Paul nodded to each. "I am pleased to meet all of you, however, we must be going. There were demons invading our town. We must check other settlements to help if we can."

The leading beings were called Crey and one who did not speak in a language he could comprehend.
His desire for revenge and battle slackened immediately. He could not fight these beasts, and there was a nagging in the back of his mind that would not let him join their forces. He sighed, setting off to find fellow fighters of good. Maybe he could find old Calzas and join up with him.

Crey's army arrived at the sea fort. It was a heavily defended coastal fortress, but it wasn't geared for attackers from inland, and Crey planned to exploit this fact heavily.
"Pestilence, Death, and War, come with me. Wraith, you can come if you like. Everything else, stay, and do not come until you see my eye glowing at the top of that fortress!"
Pestilence, Death, and War came forward unquestioningly. Crey and his elites walked towards the castle, unafraid of being seen, because, after all, they were on the fortress's blindside. After only a couple of minutes, Crey's men were at the walls, looking for a way in. The fortress was completely shut off, except for the latrine chute. The undead don't mind getting dirty, so Crey, Pestilence, War, and Death climbed their way up, using their daggerlike fingers as picks.

IC: Rysho was bitter to be left behind, but he could command the minions to do whatever he wanted. He told them to get a deer, and several seconds later, several minions emerged from the forest carrying a live struggling deer. Ryhso started in on his meal noisily...
"We were very fortunate," said Baldur. "We are skilled bowmen, but nothing would stop these beasts. Limbs would fly off, and they would press on towards us. We had to flee."
"We didn't have to leave. We could've fought them off, I know it!", shouted Dietrich.
"No, friend. You were right to flee. Those beasts were demons, and only blessed weapons can defeat them." Paul explained.
Paul went on to explain who he was and his mission to help destroy this evil spreading over their lands. After a while, the three bowmen surrendered their weapons to Paul to be blessed. All three, in time (Dietrich needed some convincing), agreed to help Paul and Karl in their quest.
Paul set off again, but instantly, the three bowmen leaped into the trees and out of sight.
"Where have you gone?" Paul said, confused.
"Show yourself, you idiots, we need to get moving!" Karl shouted.
"We are here. We always travel through the trees. It gives us an advantage of suprise and position. Have no fear, we will always be by your side in times of danger.", Felix said from somewhere to Paul's left.
Karl grumbled something about cowards, but Paul seemed reassured. As they walked, if you listened closely, you could hear tiny thumps of the bowmen leaping from tree to tree.
As a demon rushed from to forest at Karl, a small 'thw-iip' was heard and an arrow shaft lodged itself in the demon's head, before Karl had even half drawn his broadsword. Karl grumbled some more about lucky shots and how he wasn't ready.
They had agreed to check Bremen to find any other survivors, and then move on to other towns.

After the fortress was captured, Crey stood on the wall and let his red eye glow to his troops, and they came to the castle gate, which had been thrown wide open.
Out stepped a massive portion of undead soldiers, and even some captains.
"Anybody call for slaughter?" Crey roared in an evil laugh.

"No devil speaks like that..." He mumbled to himself. Sneaking up behind, he jumped into the argument at random.
"Cheese!" rang out Klavier in the tongue that had not passed his lips in many years.
Both angels were surprised to some degree, and stared. The angel who was grunting was old Calzas, trying to rip an amulet off of a mortal. The other was a stranger who Klavier was not familiar with.

Halfway to Bremen, Deitrich noticed commotion by a nearby fort. It seemed that skeletal beings were streaming into the building. One was dawdling and was a few feet behind the others. Deitrich decided to test himself and took aim with his newly blessed bow and arrows. His arrow head were design expand upon impact, making it quite impossible to remove from the victim, and much more destructive. When all but the slow one had entered, he fired. The arrow sliced through the air into one of the skeleton's empty eye sockets. It expanded, reducing the skull portion to dust. The rest of the skeleton fell and crumbled upon impact. Dietrich smiled to himself, but was quickly pulled away.

All his minions, except Pestilence, War, and Death were invisible, and Rysho was clearly seen. Crey sent 10 servants in front of him to the entrance of the fortress. He then stood at the entrance and looked. There was a quickly fading heat signature off in the trees.
"Army! March!" Crey shouted, and his eye flashed back to normal vision. They marched in the direction that Crey bid, along the forest but not into it. Crey wasn't stupid about military tactics, and he knew well that trees provided a home base advantage.
The quintet raced through the forest, gaining many a bruise or cut along the way, courtesy of low lying branches. Paul stopped panting.
"We're probably far enough away by now. I can't even see the road." said Paul.
"What were those things?" asked Karl.
"It seemed to be a mass gathering of demons. Or, at least quasi-demons. The skeletons were being controlled somehow. I could sense a large evil force inside the fortress."
"Let's make camp here for the night. We'll continue tomorrow. Hopefully, those...things will be gone by then." Said Felix.

Crey and his elites flashed out their arms to reveal their daggerlike fingers. The air around Crey's limbs and body seemed to wilt and die.

OOC: You guys post too much.
IC: Calzas was quickly seperated from the fallen Entwoine, as he hacked and slahed. Head, arms, legs, and fingers flew off the bodies around him as he charged in.
He heard a huge roar. Looking up, he was faced with a horrible sight- the ogre. He rushed in and hacked at his knees, avoiding the giant club. He dodged around the back and and pushed the sword right through his kneecap. The ogre screamed in agony, and started stomping around, crushing many undead. Through the path of destruction, he saw Entwoine twitching with a hole in his chest.
Klavier! The gem! Where were they?!? Was it alright? No God forsaken fallen angel would take the jewel from him! He needed to find him, but with all these undead around, that was no easy task.

OOC: God Forsaken? But I was just god forgiven! =P
Pulling out of the dive, he stopped for a moment to survey the battle.
Noticing Calzas finally getting into the fight, he pulled the gem out of the end of the staff.
"I don't need this any more."
With this, he flew down, divebombed the Ogre's crotch, and dropped the gem into Calzas' hands.

OOC: It's not my fault you guys post so much...
IC:
The gem! SO we wouldn't have to kill Klavier. That was a relief. Plus, he could finally end this battle.
Holding the jewel tightly in his right hand, Calzas concentrated all his force on it. It grew hot in his hand. Hotter, hotter, until it finally was freezing. The sky above him was ripped open. Form the hole, down flew two dozen ethereal worriors.
The warriors drove into the undead. Arm after head was amputated mercilessly. After all, they hadn't trained millennia to be nice. A undead swing a sword at one of the warriors- it seemed to be cut in half. However, a few seconds later, hisbody reasimilated, and he quickly beheaded the undead.
Knowing that his friends could handle this, he set out to find Entwoine, to see if there was a way to save him.
OOC: Despite what you are thinking, hardly invulnerable.

Crey's eye flashed again. He saw the ethereal warriors destroying his remaining forces.
"Troops, back! Only Pestilence, War, Death, and I can fight those warriors. You cannot harm them."
Entwoine's wings slowly became skeletal wings while he said this, feathers falling off. His fingers and toes began to lose flesh and rot. As Entwoine was being consumed by the Crey's demonic control, Crey grew stronger, and an aura of death surrounded him. No longer was it just the things he touched that died, it was the whole area around him.

OOC: Damn. Alright, give me some time to think of a strategy.
IC: A pain seared through Calzas. He knew what had happened- a warrior had been destroyed. He also knoew that it would take a very powerful being to destroy one. This would not be good.
Calzas cut himself off from the ethereal. That would make them much less strong, but stop the pain Calzas was feeling. He had to find Entwoine- and fast. This was dire.
Calzas flexed his back muscles. A set of wings unfolded. These were not regular wings- there were four. Calzas was not an ordinary angel, but a Cherub, the Lords own sevants. He took off.
Drawing his sword, he looked for Entwoine. A black circle was spreading from the side of the battle.
'That must be where the demon is! But first... NOCTE!'
It was pitch black, and no light was shining at all. Calzas knew he had to be able to fight this demon one on one, with no interruption from his minions. He dove, his eyes glowing with light from inside.
The battlefield was thrown into chaos. Minion fought minion, and warrior warrior. Suddenly, a light flashed across the feild. Another. And another. All the fighters stopped and turned to watch the epic struggle.
Calzas thrust, blocked, and parried. The demon, however, blocked his every attack and fought back ferociously. With each clash of the blades, light sprung across the field.
Calzas knew that his only chance of saving Entwoine was to stop this demon here and now.
OOC: If anyone wants to take the part of the girl, go ahead. I had plans for her, but Klavier had his own.

OOC: I'm assuming your fighting Crey... O_o
IC:
Rysho say that crey was in dire need of help. The old man had sprouted some strange wings and was slashing at crey. In his true form, Rysho lept at the old man, fangs flashing...

Entwoine had lost most flesh on his arms and legs.
Crey sent out a message to his elites that he was under attack, and that they should tell the troops to stop fighting.
Crey's eye flashed to deal with the change into pitch black. It now saw heat signatures. He could see Calzas charging out him. Crey stepped quickly aside, dagger-fingers extended out. Crey manipulated his dagger-fingers to make a flurry of blades against Calzas. He bided his time slowly as his aura became stronger and stronger... and it almost seemed vampiric in nature.

OOC: Sorry about the girl. Didn't know you had plans.
Klavier had finished with the ogre, just when it turned black. Igniting the eternal fire within him, he could see again.
The one they called Rysho was swooping in on the battle between Crey and Calzas. Not good. Not good at all. This would not do, it would not.
Charging at the point he figured they would probably meet most effectively, Klavier charged through the air towards his projected placement of Rysho.

Entwoine's flesh was mostly gone now, only a matter of minutes before he was under the full control of Crey.
Crey wielded his dagger fingers with deathly accuracy. His vampiric aura grew stronger, and he seemed to be sucking life from the area around him. Whenever he sustained an injury, it healed fairly quickly, and even quicker if he managed a successful strike. Crey started taking the offensive in the battle, feeling the power of his vampiric aura.

I'm very ill, and my computer is insane. Someone take over Calzas for me, please.
Paul woke up.
"Good, you're awake," someone from his left said.
"What's going on?" Paul mumbled, stll half asleep.
"There's a large battle being fought back towards the fort we saw earlier. Baldur scouted it out nearby. What should we do?" said Dietrich.
Paul didn't say a word. He signaled for the rest to follow, and they swiftly made there way to the edge of the forest. There they saw the great battle unfolding.
"Angels..." Paul gasped. "It looks like they'll need all the help tey can get. Me and Karl will focus on those minions. I doubt we could damage the scary looking one. Baldur, you three focus first on the ogre and then give the rest hell as you see fit."
Paul and Karl stepped out from the forest line towards the battle. A few minions engaged them, and were quickly dispatched. The bowmen rained arrows upon the ogre, and it seemed to be slightly annoyed.
"Aim for the weak points!" Felix shouted.
((OOC: I'm just sneaking on to make this post, so I probably won't make another post anytime soon. I'm still interested in this Rp though, so try not to be too harsh on my characters. XD))

(Yes, I know whats happening. Bear with me.)
IC:
Freedom.
What a silly notion.
As I pass through the ethereal realm, I notice a odd happening in the world. Near a shoreline. This will be interesting.
Oh, I see, the weaker beings are quarreling amonst themselves agai--wait... bone fiends arent human-made.
This will be fun.
I see a mad battle raging... I join the fray, starting my work with a few of the dead plants nearest that being apparently controlling the creatures.
OOC:
Now, 'Lets get this party started!'
EDIT: Why does everything stop working when I start touching and prodding it? :(
*White flash blinds screen*
'Think... my creation, feel... I have brought you here for a purpose...'
What? What is it?
'My creation, your name is Sygin, and you are here to balance the world. Go now, for you have a mission... You will go here *small flash* and you will cleanse the area.'
Yes... yes, my master...
'Go now!'
Your command is my wish...
Sygin steps through a portal of unknown creation, and reappears just outside the walls of the costal fort. He continues to create a white sphere that floats just be hind him, then a yellowish one. He then heads for the gate.
And... scene!
