As a fresh-ish RPG-er, I'm not very good at the organizing part.

This won't be a very restricted club. If I don't get yelled at it, swearing will be allowed when used in character, and slight singeing will be allowed. Basically, unless you spam horribly, suicide, or otherwise really piss me off, it's fine.

More like RP, I hope. I'll make a sort of starter game. I'm kind of new to it, too, so I guess we'll make up rules as we go along.

Vagrant, maybe you can bring the Fire-Bringer back.

He's just been accepted, and, as far as I know, was one of the larger RP'ers in the old club.

Oh, and this is for pretty much anything RP-related.

I'm personally attached to heavily text/story oriented RP'ing, but anything is fine.

Probably the best way to start would be basically a "forum battlegrounds with a theme" at first. From there, you people can branch out and create your own. For example, a good start would be like a Half-Life 2 themed battle between the forces of the Combine and the Rebels, or a Star Wars themed battle with Jedi, Sith, and Mercenaries

There's several different styles of RP:

1) DND-ish.
2) Novel-like RP's, where people will write out a long (anecdotal) story, and the RP progresses like that. This is recommended for good writers only, because it's a pain to read those who can't write.
3) Smash-n-bash quick action, quick reward RP.

Examples:

1) Vagrant hides behind a wall and fires at the combine soldier with his +1 damage pistol, causing -21 damage (79 left). The combine soldier returns fire with his SMG, but is inaccurate because of the range, only hitting Vagrant once, causing -5 damage (95 left).
2) Vagrant looked at the city around him. The city was in complete chaos. Citizens were rebelling, fire was everywhere, buildings were crumbling. Vagrant carefully inspected his pistol and checked to make sure it was working. As he was doing this, he noticed a combine soldier walking down the path. Vagrant quickly dodged to the side of the wall, and took a crouching position. He aimed carefully, and shot at the combine soldier's head. He heard a rewarding flatline noise, and inspected the dead soldier's body for weaponry and ammunition.
3) *Vagrant spawns and throws a grenade*

There's more that I'm not thinking of right now, but that's the basics.

If anybody wants to do DND, that's up to them, but that requires someone to GM.
