View Full Version : Bar fight bug caused by Karma?

After playing a couple of hundred day games in the conventional, ie trying to be succesful, manner I'd only experienced the bar fight bug a few times, maybe one in thirty-odd fights. I've just started a new game were I've been trying( and succeding) in lowering my karma rating and have experienced it three times in only a few days. Is it possible that this isn't a bug at all, but one of the effects of karma? It seems unlikley but since it's such a simple bug and it's been known for so long shouldn't it be fixed by now?

No, it isn't. This bug existed in the original Stick RPG, which did not have the karma feature in the game.

noobpwner is right. the original srpg *uncomplete* had the bug, too without karma.

What you experienced was just a coincidence.

Interesting that Fiz did not attempt (or succeed, if the case may be) to solve this "error".

The strange thing is when you get the bug, it says:
"blah blah blah and i am currently working on a fix. We are sorry for the inconvienience."
Now, does that bolded writing intrest you?
It says they are working on a fix, but there hasnt been in 2-1 years.

well, they were obviously working on it at the time, but they are not going to go back in and change the message if they can't figure it out.

There is no point in closing. There is still healthy on-topic conversation going on.
