I'm confused by this poll, do you mean in a particular class or just overall? And at what time? Currently, or in high school? Cuz right now I have a high B+ average (I think my GPA is about 3.5).

I currently have a 0.9-something GPA, seeing as I completely failed all of 9th grade and I'm doing bad in everything but my english class.

Oddly enough, I got a ~110/120 on my entrance exam for my local community college. That's high enough for MAT117, Abstract Algebra 2, and at the time, I hadn't had a single algebra class. Now I'm factoring polynomials while the rest of my class charts ordered pairs on the coordinate plane. As you can see, I'm having lots of fun in school.

i used to be almost all A's 2 years ago, but before that i would almost fail a couple of times. but now i get about 5 A's and 3 B's usually. not bad i guess but it isn't what i'd like. but i'm lazy, duh, so i gave up on actually trying. high school is too easy, there's no point to try, the largest project i've done for my last year of high school was a 10 page bio report that i was given 3 weeks for. sad, very sad

at least i'm lucky enough to never do much...

well my teacher made it count as like 3 grades or some crap. 2 project / classwork and then we had to present it to the class so it made it drop down. and it was a 78% C, 2 % away from a B

yeah. my grade in english prolly dropped cause i coundnt get an essay done for the life of me. My alg 2 class shgould be the simplest thing but i cant seem to do the equations right. my chem class is going much better tho i forgot to turn in my formal lab report and that dropped me quite a bit. my french class is an A my PE class should be an A as i haven't been able to do anything to drop it for the past four weeks, and art 2 is an easy A even with a jankanused arm

Eek, strange systems. We have a system from 0-15, 15 being the best. At least in the upper grades. In the lower ones it's 6-1, 1 being the best.

And finland has an even stranger system, I believe.

But you shouldn't put too much importance on grades, esp. in highschool. Get what you need to get into the college you want to attend, and then work very hard. Trust me on this one, I am an orientation leader at a very difficult college, and every year I see freshmen come in that have never made less than an A in their lives that fail out in just two short semesters. Everyone comes in knowing there is a 50% dropout rate, but nobody ever expects that they will be among the dropouts. Smart doesn't get you anywhere. Hard work, and valuable connections do :D .

Social stuff? I'm very gregarious, and I can keep my grades to a solid A. I'm one of those cool smart types. (More on the A+ side). I'm in 8th grade, and I am taking all honors courses, and latin.

Yes, the GPA scale in the US is (usually) a maximum of 4.0 I have heard of 5.0 though.

ok...well the 5.0 stuff is when you do extra classes and you get an a...every extra class that you have an a in gives you another 1.0...

now Doughregaurd...how could you be in grade 10 algebra when you do Geometry in grade 10...normally...i have heard of algebra 2 in 11th grade though...

i'm canadian, grade 9 high school. i have absolutely no clue what this 'gpa' is. is it only above where i am or is canada excluded in this thing? my grades are all above 90% (that pretty much means 'yay for you') i hate my english teacher. she always complains about 'rude children' and pms when she gets moody.

technically it's called elementary level (gr1-8) but some schools stop at gr5, and then you go to "middle school". before these are j/sk, kindergarten, and prior to this is preschool if you go there. after 'elementary' it's high school; then college or univeristy or both or neither.

some of my teachers are so lazy....

for art (its required) the teacher asked us to tell her what we thought our grade should be, and for gym, the teacher gave me a perfect grade because of "teamwork" not because of my actual ability or effort.
