do you have to change it using AS? just change the picture, simply by skewering it. thats what i would do at least. not sure if that answered your question though, but i've never seen a code that you can modify the top and bottom. i can't help you with the code, but, just try skewering it. that might get the effect your looking for.

I can only assume that you're going for some sort of Mode-7 immitation?
I can't help, but if you're looking for what I think you're looking for. Mode 7 is a good word to be able to search for. :)

I don't know of a way of skewing with AS, the best way to do this is either not through AS or a different, more complicated way. It involves making a mask for individualy lines all the way up the size of the picture and then scaling each image appropriately, all through AS of course. I aint got no Flash right now, so I can't give you a script.

i didn't mean to skewer it with AS, just skewer the image itself. and you want to be able to make the floor turn? oh you just want the floor there? if you just want the floor there, skewer it.

Mode 7 (also known as z-mapping....apparently :S) is the technique used in days of yore to make fake 3d floors. It was used in the racing part of Chrono Trigger (when you have to race that guy), and more obviously in the original Mario Kart.
Here I shoved it in google and got this topic where someone has already done it:

There's a lot of stuff on pseudo 3d flash stuff in there, but you're gonna have to dig for it (sorry, I only had a quick look). :)
Hope that helps?
Edit: Actually, the code is pretty much there on the second page, (plus there's a working example down there too).
