Last tuesday I seriously crushed nerves in my arm, more so the ones in my elbow. I took a trip to the doctor after school (this happened in the morning).

I'm not going to explain the pain because I'm not looking for medical advice, rather ways to slowly help my arm regain total mobility. I've slowly, very slowly, regained the ability to type legibly, and to hold cutlery, paper and my iPod.

I'm not keeping my arm in its supportive sling anymore, and am taking pain killers for when it gets really bad. I appear to have damaged my nerves to such an extent that my arm cannot bend past a 90 degree angle, which poses several problems, although I have full mobility in my wrist and fingers.

If anybody has suffered anything similar and knows a way (or several ways) to help my arm, other than stretching it, typing and holding small things, please do let me know.

It might help to know that I have damaged the nerves affiliated with my index and little fingers.

Just dont apply alot of pressure to your arm.

I was thinking it was Carpal tunnel?

But,You may have ulnar neuritis..it is the same nerve that hurts when you hit your funny bone.

Seriously, what did you do to your arm. For there to be nerve damage doing this, you would have needed to have nearly severed your arm. Did you crush your forearm in something? If you did, just give it a couple weeks to heal completely, if that long. If you had any nerve damage, I highly doubt you'd recover like you did. Healing hurts and takes time.

No, that is not playing doctor, its the truth, based on my own experience.

My elbow was bent backwards against the corner of a building. =/ Also the night after the accident, I had it elevated on pillows (you're not supposed to sleep with a sling on) and it decided to roll into itself.

My entire forearm tingles if I try to stretch it though, so I mainly keep my arm locked to my stomach at a 90 degree angle.

Well, forget what I said, then, and avoid using it as much as possible until it heals.

I will not do that. Letting my arm lie there like a useless peice of meat means I'll very likely lose all use and mobility of it. Here applies the rule "Use it or lose it", but very, very gently.

It will not heal by itself. It's a nerve, not a bone.
