Yeah, immune to Swine Flu, but it can have serious side-affects.

She can't walk forward properly, except when running - and while doing so she can talk normal? - and can only walk backwards. Very sad, yet very strange.

Yeah, immune to Swine Flu, but it can have serious side-affects.
Except not. There's nothing in it that would be able to cause any noticable effects, let alone that.
It's called a psychogenic disorder, folks. It's utterly unrelated to the shot; you could just as easily claim she got it from drinking water or from breathing air.
The Daily Show had the best description of the vaccine with the pro and con list:
Pros:
Can protect against a potentially fatal disease
Proven safe in clinical trials
Can prvent you from infecting those vulnerable to disease
Cons:
The government is out to get you
Science is out to get you
Oh **** look behind you

Once again: It has nothing to do with the vaccine.

Could the silly stress/worry some people get about vaccines have had something to do with it? The mind controls the body, and a mind in the head of an idiot can cause damage, can't it? I know a lot of people at my school are scared to tears when getting vaccines, could it, on a larger scale, trigger a lingering mental illness?
Also, isn't Off-Key the place where you can post the "News & Politics" video on youtube and pretend it warrants a thread?

What she 'has' isn't a psychological disorder, it's a physical one. It's possible that the stress or worry could contribute to developing a psychogenic version of it (which is what she has, given that people who ACTUALLY have this disorder don't get a reprieve from it while walking backwards or running or any of that jazz), though that seems unlikely as it didn't seem that she had been particularly worried about the shot. Even assuming that to be the case, though, the shot didn't cause it, idiot news stories like this one drumming up paranoia over the shot caused it.

Wasn't the Balloon boy incident the same deal as this thread. Weren't the 911 tributes and war discussion (even though they were just personal opinions and rage like this thread) irrelevance worthy? I don't think this thread should be booted to off-key if those weren't.

Anyways, things like these get to the media and we feel bad for her and we doubt the authenticity of the flu shot. Well, that's the logical train of thought. There are many other possibilities to analyze this though.

You'll die first.
I saw something on Fox News about this (one of their shows that's actually a news show, not "political analysis," yes they exist, but are few and far between). As has been said, it looks like more fodder for vaccine-paranoid people trying to solve a problem they don't know crap about. For goodness' sake, people were worried about mercury and formaldehyde in the Swine Flu vaccine, because it was in the last one thirty or so years ago. The substances of concern have since been banned for use in vaccines, but it still has parents paranoid about inoculating their kids and giving them autism, yet another still-to-be-proven link. Across all networks covering it, it's sensationalism at its best. Controversial vaccine, and an attractive cheerleader who is paralyzed because of it. She might not be faking, but rather the flu shot brought out a condition she had some sort of predisposition to (I think this was already said here, too.), if it could be blamed in any way for this condition.

I don't see how walking forwards and walking backwards can be considered something completely different. Even if this is real, I'm pretty sure it is, like Liokae said, is a psychogenic disorder. If you can die in your sleep, then I'm pretty sure that this can happen. I call bullcrap on the fact that walking forwards and backwards produces different results. I mean, you're still getting SOMEWHERE, just simply one you are not facing the right direction. For the nerves, forward and backward movement both end up creating the same movements regardless. Although, it does suck.
Also, I tried watching the videos in this thread, but I...really couldn't.

The irony of that statement is that the worst side-effect of the vaccine is GBS. Worst case scenario with the virus is, yes you guessed it, GBS. As small as the swine flu may be, be careful with the mentality that it's nothing. Perhaps the situation would have been a lot worse had we, in general, had that mentality.
What about the Cholera? or ebola? What about dengue fever? all of those are still bad today with no one giving a poop about them. Where's our vaccine for Naegleria? or malaria?
Oh, I don't know, maybe because every virus is unique in such that we could find vaccine for some while we cannot find vaccine for the others? Also, you seem to forget that many of those virus are regional, restricted within those region mostly because could only be transmitted through more restricted means (mosquito, semen, etc.)

From your second 'article':
The men drank from polluted streams and were fed vermin-infested rancid foods. Therefore it was not surprising that their bodies’ internal safeguards were worked to the breaking point in an effort to eliminate all this contamination. So-called disease is nothing but a remedial effort of the body to get rid of poisons, blockages, and conditions which interfere with normal functioning. These healing efforts of the body manifest in such ways as sweating (fever — to force impurities out through the skin, which is one of the channels of elimination), diarrhea (bowel-cleansing when a rush-job is needed to get rid of drastic poisons), vomiting, coughing and sneezing (to unload toxic waste from stomach, lungs, nose, throat, etc. Lack of appetite suggests to the patient that he refrain from taking in more food (fasting). Weakness forces the patient to rest. All of these processes are essential to healing.
The stricken soldiers would probably all have recovered if they had avoided doctors and their poison medication and suppressive methods. Unfortunately, they were sent to the army hospitals and drugged to death by the doctors, who know nothing about the true principles of health and natural healing. The doctors, then as well as now, mistake the symptoms for the disease and give drugs to suppress the symptoms instead of letting the internal healing mechanism do its work to bring about normalcy. The doctors think they must do something to bring down the fever and give certain drugs to stop the coughing and other drugs to stop the diarrhea. All these damaging medical methods block the elimination of poison waste, and death or permanent injury is the result.
What the holy hell? Who wrote that thing, the guy who started the 9/11 truther movement?
As for it being an 'untested vaccine'...

Actually, that first paragraph was quite correct.
Of course, it neglects to mention that people can die of fever due to their enzymes being boiled, shutting down virtually ALL bodily functions. Or that people can die of vomitting and diarrhea due to dehydration.
Nevermind that a vaccine doesn't combat symptoms but the actual infectant.

That's why I included t he second paragraph. The symptoms are the result of the body's healing processes, yes, but the guy seems to miss the other bit you mentioned. Pretty much every symptom he mentioned can be deadly on its own if it goes too far, even more so if you have several of them. When you're in the situation those soldiers are in, do you REALLY think just letting them **** their intestines out, starve, and boil off the infection from the inside is going to help them?

1. It's not even the H1N1 vaccine that was administered to her. They described it as a "seasonal flu shot."
2. Seriously? You're comparing this to a novel/movie?
3. Look at you. Reading junior high textbooks. An estimated 75 million people died from the bubonic plague.
4. The H1N1 vaccine isn't only given to students.
5. Your entire argument is invalid.
