Would it not be simpler and better just to buy the actual game? Not that this isn't any good, just the actual game is a lot better and has a larger player base.

Before you go on about money and crap, CS 1.6 is almost nothing in price and is much more fun than playing with the idiots on source.

Because you have to play a game 24/7 to get good at it right?

Play it 1-2 hours every couple of days and you'll get good at games easy. Counter Strike is even easier as it's just a shooter and everyones played some form of fps so you should be pretty decent even if you don't play often. It's not hard. For example, a game like Starcraft would take you a while to get good at while games like Stick Arena take 5 minutes.

I played CS2D all the time on my old computer, it was one of the few things that would run right.

All I remember was having fun and tons of Brazilians and Poles everywhere.

(On topic) I gotta say this game is fun but pawn tactics is better.. (off topic) as for CS, well, you do get better. One day i was getting my A** handed to me, the next i was owning, so yeah practice makes perfect.
