Which typ of xbox 360 is most likly to get the "red ring of death"?

I'm pretty sure that all of them have the same rate, you just have to take care of it.

They all get the same rate, except the ones most vulnerable were the first year Xboxes. The one that is least is the First gen Elites, produced April through October. I'm not sure what year, but the chipset had a better defense against heat. But, it's hard to find both of them.

The kinds with the old CPU chip, just check the lot number of the one you intend to buy and make sure it's got a 65nm chip in it, and you shouldn't have any problems

It is the same. As far as I know to prevent it, don't put it anywhere that would cause it to overheat and make sure it has space to let heat escape. I don't know but I've heard putting it horizontally lets the heat escape easier.

Oh and microsoft did a survey in which revealed a 50% xbox failure rate.
