Does anyone have any experience with the RetroZone SNES USB Port (http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=29)? I'm looking to buy it, or something similar. If you have any knowledge about the item, the website, or possibly alternative choices, let me know! I don't want to buy a piece of junk.
I tried this in the Gamer's Lair but I don't think enough people frequent that tier of the forums, lols.

No, I have never tried that product or anything similar to it. Did you try looking for sites that review those kind of products? This will probably get moved back anyway though...

You plug it into your computer. You plug your SNES controller into it. Then you can play Emulated SNES games on your computer with the SNES controller.
But you need an Emulator. And Roms.

Yeah, I know all of this.

.... no offense, but why would you want to get this when you can just get multi-use USB gamepads that are just as comfortable for the same price?

Where can you get some working emulators?
I'm trying to get Chrono Trigger for the SNES. But havn't had any luck.

Well, for emulators, you'd be looking at ZSNES or Snes9X. Can't help you out with ROMs, though.

If I got offended by you helping me out, like what I asked for, then what kind of person would I be?
"Excuse me, sir, hey, how do I get to the grocery store in this town?"
"Follow this street for about a mile, take a left a the lights, first plaza on the right."
"Hey screw you buddy! What do you think I am, an idiot? I know where the grocery store is. Chh."

Well, in general it was more directed at wondering why you were thinking of buying a usb port for a controller instead of just getting an actual controller. :)
Although if you do happen to already own an XBox 360 wireless controller, my advice would be to get the USB receiver thing they have that lets you use 360 wireless devices as input. The 360 controller is much more durable and versatile than any independent gamepads I've seen... just too expensive if you have to buy both it AND the accessory for your PC.
EDIT: This is what I'm talking about: http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Windows-Pc/dp/B000HZFCT2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1252076641&sr=8-2

Yes, I have one. They are very professional looking. It's worth it if you really want to play your SNES games with a SNES Controller on your PC.

I don't own an XBox, but I will look into buying a plain old gamepad. I just like the SNES controller, but it doesn't really matter as long as it has four buttons, I s'pose. Thanks for the help. I am settling into my second year of college, so once I get everything all set, I'll see what I can find. :)

I can't remember where it was, but I vaguely recall someone selling gamepads that actually *were* SNES controllers, just modified to have a USB plug instead of the big wide one.
