Oh Hell no! Someone stop Disney before all the cool companies get eaten up! Soon every company is going to be censored and "kid appropriate" like Disney :c

So long as I don't see Gambit and Mickey holding hands, it should be alright.
I mean Marvel knows the image it has I can only assume that being part of Disney is more business orented than anything.

Really shouldn't be a big deal.

Dude!!!! WTF!!! If Marvel heroes become kid-friendly and don't kick ass I will be pissed. Disney better not make Marvel heroes into pansies. If this happens I will cry. Don't get me wrong Disney has some good stuff (mainly their older movies- Lion King, etc) but mostly turn things into kid friendly, less cool, things. Imagine Wolverine holding a bouquet of flowers.

This could have some pretty ugly consequences for future marvel superhero movies.

You guys do realize Disney is not 100% aimed towards families, right? They have Touchstone which does more "mature" films (PG-13 and R territory), they have non-kid themed TV shows (Lost comes to mind as a recent example), and plenty of other stuff. Disney buying Marvel does not mean Iron Man becomes a cuddly bear, or anything like it. Licensing is a much bigger issue - tons of video games and movies will be affected.

That isn't what I'm worried about. What I'm worried about is them whoring Marvel for profits.

I'd like to see a Marvel vs. Disney series of comics.
We all know which side would win.

What's the big deal about?

DC is waaaaaay better than Marvel.

Damn, we can expect the New Avengers and Deadpool to be some crappy movies.

That's rediculous.

They certainly can't ##### Marvel out more than Marvel already #####s themselves.

They are going to make so many gay shows and movies about each superhero and milk them to the point where no one likes them anymore.

Chicken basically nailed it.

Disney sucks in general. Marvel is just screwing itself.

Yeah... where exactly have they done that before? Disney stuff is almost universally loved across the board.

Next week on Hannah Montana: Hannah gets in trouble, and asks Iron Man for help! Can he help her? Find out!

Let's just hope that never happens.

You guys are WAY overblowing this. Marvel's CEO is still the guy in control of all the Marvel stuff; and Disney has a long history of making things that sound like they shouldn't go together work beautifully. Why are you assuming they're just going to shove Marvel characters into everything they own? They got to the position they are by being intelligent with their IP.

Ugh. I'm not even going to bother anymore. You people are going to pretend this is ruining Marvel forever no matter what.

Just a reminder, though: Marvel is the one that comes up with shit like Brand New Day.

Warner Brothers owns DC, and it's now like that's ####ed up, right?

Although I could see a Jonas Brothers/Spider-man mash-up involving a lot of white stuff.

Warner Bros. isn't known for butchering classic stories. I'm not a comic book buff, but unless Disney stays out of the creative aspect of Marvel franchises, this likely won't turn out good.

How long until Marvel characters appear in Kingdom Hearts?

Now God damnit where is Stan Lee when you need him?

This is pretty suckish i mean cmon soon Disney will buy everysingle company that other audiences like and then we just have to read books since the shows suck so much.

Makes me sad. I'm not a huge fan of Disney (although they do have some great movies), but now that they have bought Marvel I'm worried for all of my comic heroes. Thank god nobody has gotten to DC yet.

See, that's just what I was thinking, except I was thinking up a Marvel superheroes level and crapped my pants.

Disney probably has the sense to let Marvel handle the creative aspects normally. Why would they neglect older teens and adults that are more than willing to pay several hundred dollars for a rare comic just to make some kid-friendly versions?

It kind of sucks that no one is listening to you.
Also, I agree with what everyone has said. Disney never makes anything good. Every single thing they have made is terrible. I am totally not sarcastic.
