I have a question. More of a rhetorical question

Well, I have a question.
This is my "outspoken" quality kicking in.

Like many forums I've joined, there are moderators and administrators present here.

What I'd like to know is are there "suck-ups" here? I would use the other term for that, but that's inappropiate and more bluntly worded. You know what i'm referring to.

Why? Why must people persistently "suck-up" to higher ranked users?
Sure, there's no harm in "complimenting" or "acknowledging" their ranking or qualities, but seriously?

It frustrates me. I won't go on, but you people understand what i'm talking about. I'm not looking here to make enemys or offend anyone, but I know I have already insulted people by posting this. Oh well, can't please everyone.

No he bolded the word "usually" as a flame to Trask because Trask is overly aggressive with his post counts. Meaning, he is posting for the sake of increasing his number of posts.

I've already answered, but I didn't really go for that in-depth answer kind of thing.

Every site but one I've been to has had suck-ups. The one that didn't was mostly a PS3 and social site, meaning that it was obvious that the few who discovered it would be suck-ups.

But here's what draws the line between the members there and here at XGen: There aren't any, and they're, for some reason, pleasant to everyone. Every time I get on there I'm pleasant, so long as no one acts like they would here. What I'm trying to say is that communities will be like that, and it's just going to be that way until you find a site like the one I go to. If people pick on you on your first day, it's a sign of what type of site it will be. If not, that's another sign, but it's not guaranteed that they'll all like you. Take Sweet Cuppin' Cakes for example, he acts like any old member. Because he's had experience with forums like this. Which is what you should do before visiting XGen, because it helps tons.

No I agree with you Cadaver, their are groups of friends that stick together but for the most part people will tell it like it is regardless of their "rank".

I was teasing her bro. :rolleyes: If that were the case I would've slowed down a LONG time ago for I have already passed her...Yes I do "spam" which is basically a post that isn't considered 'valuable', but I post something worthwhile (hopefully) occasionally as well, and don't call yourself a noob, you're not one.

It's not a big deal. Even our veteran members kiss up to the forum mods - at least when they aren't "protesting" over some "controversy" (read: #####ing about pointless shit). It's only really annoying when a member decides to make an announced effort to kiss up to a mod just to get modded himself. Otherwise, we can't really complain about someone making good use of the report button or behaving a bit better.

Trask had a few key forums for his post count: The Music Forum, the SAB forum, the Movies and TV forum, etc.

If you want to get a huge post count, go ahead but Trask, or as others call him "Michael" won't care.

And blacksheep, you are not really that much of a suck up, you're just annoying. Nearly all of your posts were complete spam or used improper grammar. You used okay grammar for the post you just made, but not great.

If I ever called you a suck-up, you were. I remember you were. Now you're not completely terrible as a user, you just need to learn to make posts longer than two sentences, use proper grammar, not start each post with "Well I think" and post a little more outside of the SA section.

If this topic would get back on the original subject, a little discussion never hurts.

I personally talk to the mods/admins whenever I see them online. There are a few regular members and a few mods that I talk to more than anyone else. I even play Aion with Liokae sometimes. The fact that many of them are on LL gives something else to be brought up and discussed as well.

Does this make me a suck-up? I would have to say no. I'm not kissing their ass or worshiping the ground they walk on. I'm just treating them like friends rather than mods. When i see a problem that needs to be addressed I might throw a link into the conversation, but unless we're talking about woolfy here that's not why I start the conversation.
