I was really wondering how Many people in the Xgen community listen to grindcore/deathcore or even Screamo
Like I only know 4 people that listen to this stuff including myself.

Honestly, for the amazing ability with instruments some of these kinds of bands have I feel like they get held back by their singers.

But seriously, I can't tell wat Brokencyde is. They mix up Hip-Hop styled beats with screaming. It's not really anything. It's wannabe metal/screamo/other ####.

The Black Dahlia Murder's alright, and I used to be into Chiodos.
I listen to a bunch of melodic death metal, like At the Gates and In Flames and Darkest Hour.

Screaming is pretty much a necessary part of most metal bands, sorry to tell you. Clean vocals just really don't fit the music sometimes. Take a look at Opeth: the vocalist has a great voice that he utilizes during mellow sections, but for the heavy stuff, there's really nothing better than harsh vocals. Unless you happen to like power metal. *shudder*

As a matter of music, I think that you guys seriously misunderstand the amount of skill it takes to scream to music and actually sound good. Grindcore sucks, but I'm not going to pretend that they just grab a mic and go "HRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
