Yeah, I've got a gig coming up on the 25 of August, and I was wondering, what are some good rock songs to play? Right now we know quite a bit of classic rock songs, but we need new stuff to play. Help?

I'm not the biggest classic rock fan, but I know good rock songs.

For rock song's

-Tom Sawyer by "Rush"
-Even Flow by "Pearl Jam"
-The Seeker by "The Who"
-Holy Diver by "Dio"
-Breaking The Chains by "Dokken"

That's all I can think of right now, I need to go through my music library:P What bands do you listen to???

I hope his band has a good singer and drummer, because Kashmir is a hard song to pull off.

Drumming shouldn't be that hard... Doesn't sound that complicated.

Eh, my friend who has been drumming for 6 or 7 years says It's a hard song, but who knows......It might be easy for the drummer.

Do The Evolution, by Pearl Jam, has a great guitar. The singing will be tough, but if your instrumentalists are capable they should be able to pull it off.

No it's not, we've already done it. It was on our set list for a while.

Props to you guys, can I have a small list of bands you listen to??? Would you guys be willing to do some heavy metal???? Or are you strictly rock???

Heavy metal is a sub-genre of rock. We play a lot of classic rock, mainly early Zeppelin stuff, and some alternative. If you want a list of influences, I would say artists like Steve Vai, Jimmy Page, The Foo Fighters, and Jimi Hendrix.

Well, what type of crowd will you be performing for? And at what type of venue? Take those into consideration and then craft a strong set around those factors. That's the best way to keep the crowd happy!
