For bass. I tried googling it, but can't find anything good.
Can someone help?

Do what I do. Put it at the max so the neighbors think it's world war 3.
And... *slaps good*
If that makes no sense, I didn't understand the question.

Alright! I'll help you Huntar!
Slapping is a fun, and funky way to play bass guitar. When slapping, one can generally only hit the E-string (the lowest one), unless you're really good.
Note that I'm assuming that you're right handed.
First, look at the thumb of your right hand. Notice how their is only one joint. To the left of this joint, their is a piece of bone that sticks out.

This is the part of the thumb that we hit the sting with.
Now, when you actually hit the string, only it with that small piece of bone. You're hand should sort of look like a thumbs up sign (like the one by the title of my post).
When you are hitting the string, it should only be by wrist movement. DO NOT MOVE YOUR ARM! Only the wrist. The movement is like the movement of a door knob (the circular, spherical type) when some is trying to open the door, but it is locked. A little bit to the right, and a little bit to the left (which is when you would hit the string). I hope this analogy makes sense. If not, I will come up with a picture.
Anyway, practice this movement constantly for at least three days, and even after that, do it. I like to hit my the bone in the side of my hips (my pelvis?), but anything will do. It is silent, and much more enjoyable than school (it all helps you more.) If you are watching a movie, do it while watching, practice the movement of your wrist. Better you get at it, the better your slapping will be, and even once you master it, you can still get faster at it.
Well, that's it. How to play slap bass. I hope that this tutural was helpful. If not. Tell me what else you want to know, and I'll elaborate on it.

I must be good then, because I can slap all strings and I am learning some songs by the king of pop/slap playing, Victor freakin' Wooten. I am left handed and I play right, so it's really easy anyway.
Very good tutorial, alas, you left out when you're starting to slap it's hard to get the note out while slapping over the pick-ups. I suggest you start slapping over the bridge, thats how I started slapping.

Well, if you're playing Victor Wooten, then yes, I'd say you're REALLY good.
Where should I put in you're bit into the the tutorial? I figure now that I wrote it, I might as well put it all over the internet.

Yes, I am right handed.
Thanks HavocWizard! I will try the basic motion for a few days, and report if anything is odd.

I could ask my sister, she's pretty killer at slap-bass. But she might find that odd if I called her up out of the blue and asked her "how do you play slap bass?" since she knows I don't play any string instruments...
