I'm getting a band started already. I am making the name rather, Permafrost, Stamina or Deja' Vu for a metal/ rock band. How are the names?

pretty good except for deja vu im not too particularly keen on that one oh well not my band. The main problem with a new name is the guitarist is the most stubborn person on earth and he doesnt accept any of the names i like

How's about perma-angry, it's what we used to call one of my friends cuz he had a permanent scowl on his face. I think it'd make a good rock band name and it works for punk and metal.

You don't need a name, it's good to have one, but whatever, if you aren't in high school (I assume you're in grade 8) then forget it, our band with HSS and another guy doesn't have a name and we've played at a couple places, no big deal, but you probably will wanna have one by high school, or if you get a serious gig.

i agree totally...the name should not be the focus of a band..if you can't think of one, don't worry about it...trust me, you'll end up changing it anyway...as for guitarists, there are always more guitarists, you just gotta look...

Finding the best guitarist is not always the best option. I did this, I realized it didn't work. Then I found ATTICUS. We get along great, (maybe even too good), we always read each others minds. Try to have your guitarist/band members your best friends and have good interaction between each other. Just play together, and see how it comes out.

yeah but...see... Iwant my band to be all friends but one of us ( not me ) Is only concerned with his status ( Being the drummer in the band ) and he thinks its cool so hes not gonna practice for the benefit of the band
