March Nub Tournament

What to do now that you are in the tournament.

Whenever you're lurking the forums, check the online list on the bottom of the page to see if your opponent is online. You can private message your opponent (find his or her name on the Member List (http://forums.xgenstudios.com/memberlist.php)), ask to play him or her in this thread, post in his or her user profile, or contact him or her through other means necessary. Regardless, find your opponent before the deadline and get your match results in as soon as possible, otherwise you risk getting yourself a bye!

You have 7 days starting from the day the brackets are posted up to find your opponent and play him or her in XGen HQ. Matches are BEST OUT OF 3. If you both don't submit match results by the end of the week, you are both subject to dropping out of the bracket. Or maybe just one of you, depending on my mood on said day. Chances are however somebody with a high seed won't be subject to a bye.

Remember! Free kills are not allowed, and if your opponent does free kill you have the right to give him the same amount of damage back! Absolutely NO hacking or wall glitching or you will be permanently banned from the tournament.

If you are POSITIVE you will not be able to show for your match any day of the week, then you can drop out. If you announce you are dropping out the first or second day after your match is announced, you will lose tourney points but will NOT lose the opportunity to play in the next tournament. These people will be considered Byes. No-shows are those who do not say anything at all and just don't decide to show. No-shows will be BANNED from the next tournament, and also will lose tournament points.

If you both end up not getting your match in I'm going to either put through the person who I see more active in this thread or I'm going to put through the person with the higher rating (for example, if GoodleShoes and Feiro1235 don't get their match in, Goodleshoes is going through). The only exception is if Feiro1235 is consistently posting in this thread trying to find Goodleshoes, and Goodleshoes barely shows up to try to find Feiro. The more active in this thread because that's the only way to judge who's actually been trying to play their match and who is a lazy arse. The only exception to this rule is the top 4 seeds; play them, they won't be bye'd.

And, if some of you guys don't know, the number next to your name is your rank out of all 16 competitors. 1 is best, and 16 is worst. The brackets are designed so that if you're really good, you're playing someone really bad in the first round. Also, you are NOT playing the person closest to you. You are playing the person who is connected to you on the bracket. To see whether they are connected to you or not, follow the line underneath your name and see who it connects to! Simple as that. The line method works like a charm.

Players battle for a rank 9 account of their choice, tourney points, rating points, and glory.

Players will be placed on a bracket due to their relative skill level.

An account OR a one month lab pass will be awarded to the winner of this tournament.

Tourney Points will be awarded to first, second, and third place winners.

Only 16 league members may join - first come first serve.

No-shows will be exempt from the next tournament and will lose 20 extra points from their rating.

All league members that fit the qualifications are allowed to join until this tournament has 16 participants.

***** Who can sign up *****

To sign up you must be a league member.
You must be rank 1 - 8, or in the bottom 20 on the league chart
Any league member who I deem not nuby enough may not join.
You cannot join this tournament if you are in the Joe tournament.
First round byes in any tournament may not sign up.

How the tourney will work

The tournament will be a regular round of 16 in a bracket format. As you win your matches you move up the bracket. If you lose you are out of the tournament.

I will explain all the details as the tourney approaches. You don't need tourney experience to enter. If you want to play, and know you won't drop out, sign up!

Glitching/Hacking/FKing Rules

If you are caught hacking or purposely wall glitching you will be permanently banned from the league. To catch somebody hacking or glitching just print screen of the person in action (the more you have the more valid your evidence will be).

Free Kills are not allowed.

How to play your opponent:

-Make sure your opponent is available/online when you are and confirm your opponent can play.
-Create a private room.
-Private message your opponent the private room name.
-Play your opponent.
-Submit the results.

How to contact your opponent for your match:

PM them PM them PM them! Try to get your match as early in as possible. For each round each opponent will have a week to get in their results, so there is no reason anybody should not be able to squeeze time in to play.

How to submit your match results:

Print screen of the results after the match and post the screenshot in this thread. Your opponent must confirm the results are accurate for it to be valid.

Byes and No-Shows

There is a difference! A bye is if you post in this thread stating you don't think you will be able to play your match, despite the flexible timing given. A no-show is somebody who doesn't even pop his head in to say hi and forgets he was enrolled in this tournament in the first place! No-shows will be dealt with more severely than byes.

A bye loses 10 rating points and a no-show loses 30. A bye is allowed to join the next tournament and a no-show is not. To be labeled as a bye you must state you won't be playing your match before 2 days your match is announced. For example if your match is announced on Monday and you have until next Monday, you must state you won't be able to show before the end of Tuesday. You will then be replaced by another league player so your opponent doesn't get a free win.

1st Place: 10 Tourney Points, account of his/her choice, + 50 points

2nd Place: 5 Tourney Points, + 30 points

3rd Place: 3 Tourney Points, + 15 points

Tourny points are acquired by winning tournaments or coming in 2nd or 3rd. With tournament points when you gather enough, like 15 tournament points you can use those points to get a Lab Pass. Rating/League points are just to show where you stand in the league (playing 2 league matches every 5 days) which you have to join.
