dan you just need to log in at the right times(people in games won't show up on the lobby list there are usually 4-5 games going with a total of about 30-40 people online. around 100-200 throughout a day.

There is ussually always at least 10 people on depending on the time you log on. I have stay up past midnight to be on when the majority are. I'm in the UK which is GMT while most people are GMT -5 to -8

(next tourney??) have the people who are on a lot or actually still play this game go at each other 3 randomly chosen types best out of 3 moves on you could limit it to 20 people... only the decent players can join, no nubs (such as i) only serious players...

lol i wouldn't want to be up there, i know probably 10-20 people better than me that isn't up on that list, i'm just saying i think that we (not jazza) should compile a list of the top players via one last tourney, the tourney could go on for some time i understand that lol, hell i'd host it, they just need to visit the forums to see who's seeded to what spot and who's up next and get together a time to fight, post a screenie of who won... then from there, you could challenge someone for their spot (again, set up a time with eachother's schedule) if you have to, set up 2 games, then 3 games at different intervals

*simple version of how it will work* X wants to fight Y at Z time, Y is avaliable at Z time, X and Y fight for the title
if Y cant make it, set up a different time.

No offence to any of you people who made the Top 10, Top 5, Top 3 etc. threads concerning the best players in Brotherhood of Battle, but I don't think you realize just how much time and work needs to be put in to make the real Best Players scale. Also, having in mind the time needed to complete such a scale, I believe it's practically impossible to even make one - once it would have finally been done, there would be a probability that the players participating in the competition could have significantly changed (improved) in their skills and new players could also emerge between the competition which might be good enough candidates for the Best Players scale.

In order to get the authentic results, each contestant would have to play with each of the other contestants twice on the same map (so the possibility of first turn advantage is nullified) in each of the 5 game types. This basically means 10 matches just between two players. Let's take a look on just how many matches would be required per single player to complete the scale, assuming there would be 20 contestants (probably more due to the facts this would be the only way to make credible contest and that each person who sees himself worthy to be on Best Players scale would be allowed to participate):

2 x 5 = 10 (2 matches x 5 types = 10 matches to cover all types between two contestants)
10 x 19 = 190 (10 matches to cover all types x 19 opponents = 190 matches to complete single person's participating in the tournament)

By calculating the win/lose ratios the credible Best Players scales for each type could be made, plus the absolute Top Players scale based on the total win/lose ratio from all game types. I had some thoughts about organizing such competition myself, but afterwards given them up due to the sheer amount of time and work needed in order to complete it even if assuming that each single contestant would be honest and trustworthy enough to not require a moderator watching his/her matches. This of course - judging by the past events - wouldn't be very likely to happen... ;)

But if you look in the top 10 posts(MY post in particular), you will see that we said top 10 in MY opinion, pwndXD did this also. We realize that we can't really get a true top 10. These are just fun guesses that people can look at and see what they think. As for me, this top 10 in particular failz.xD Because not many people on there play much anymore, and also, master shouldn't be on there, or at least not number 1. I can beat master, and I am nowhere near number one. There are several people(Including u:) who can beat me.
