Should I Buy A PS3?

Ho-kay, I'm going to the bank tomorrow to deposit $350 that I've earned from shoveling snow over the past few weeks. I currently have $528 in there and that $350 will make it somewhere near $900. So, I'm feeling bored and I have a high definition TV. I figure that I should get a PS3 with some trimmings and some games.

No, getting a 360 is out of the question because I want Blu-Ray and the PS3 a library of games that's more attractive to me (Halo and GoW can suck my dick), and I don't really need a super-advanced gaming PC at the moment. Also, free online and all of the things that go with it is very tempting. Xbox Live may be better, but I'm not prepared to spend that much money. So, what should I do? Should I take the plunge and get one, or does someone have a better idea for where my money should go? Also, what games should I get? I already have Warhawk and GRID in-mind but I'm not sure if that's enough.

Come on, I need some help, guise.

Buy it because on an HD TV PS3's graphics are AWESOME.

Buy the PS3. X box live isnt really better. They just say its better cause they pay for it. we pretty much get the same stuff free. and ps3 games are catching up. 2009 will be the ps3's year. so get it.

I'd say go for it. PS3 is a great console, and '09 WILL be a good year for the PS3.

Xbox, better online, plus way more games for Live play.

While, games like GoW2 do look VERY good, they are not up to par with games like MGS4, GT5, Uncharted and Killzone 2. They just aren't. And, I'm not sure if I want to pay for online at all.

It's pretty much a tie, right now. I'm torn between the 2 systems.

If Xbox is out of the question, then get the PS3. I would save for a car, insurance and gas money though.

Also, GRiD is a great game. Provides weeks of nonstop fun.

I already posted in your other thread, but just get the PS3 dude. You won't regret it. Especially with Killzone 2 coming out in a month.

Get the ps3. Playstation Network is just as good as xbox live. Killzone 2 is another goom reason. As for GOW, I recall GOW2 was available for ps2(ps3 back compatible, GOW 3 comes out exclusively to ps3 this year.

Also get ps3 because they got resistance 2 and it is really really fun. better than gears i think.

Normally I would talk about choosing the console which most of your friends have, because online play is probably what you will be doing most of the time. On this occasion, however, I'm just gonna say buy it because Killzone 2 looks amazing. *drools*

There's really no difference between the Elite and the Regular, other than the kick-ass name. The Red Ring of Death still comes after the same time period.

Well joest. Yes you should for quite a few reasons.

-More Exclusive Games
-Blu Ray
-Free Online
-If it breaks for some reason, they send you a new one for free unlike the Xbox where you have to get it repaired for 100 odd quid.

If you are to get it I recomend these games...

If you like first person shooters you should save up for Modern Warfare 2 or if your're looking for a Racing game, get GRID.

Technical reasons why PS3 is better:

-The PS3 has a 10 year warranty,compared with the 360's 3 years.
-It has a much less error rate.
-It has blu-ray,and NEVER break discs.
-It has the BEST graphics card.

But you should really til Ps3 Slim comes out.It's only 300 bucks.

Though I really enjoy the PS3,my opinion is just technical,not real experience.I would've really liked to try the Xbox 360 Elite,it sounds and looks much more kick-ass.

There are many games that are exclusively for Playstation like Gran Turismo.
And i do'nt trust Xbox 360 or any Xbox.
