I'll miss Comedy Central! Why!

Time Warner- Pay the damn bill! It's only a quarter a month!

Uh, the links not working for me.

Someone tell me what exactly is happening.

Edit: Nevermind, I googled it.

Wow, that does suck.

It is also good news. No MTV for them!

I'd go mad without Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert.

Is Time Warner another cable provider like Comcast? I know the name, I just don't know what they do.

I saw a strip on my TV. Silly of me to watch and think there might have been some kind of actual emergency. I have Comcast, so this doesn't matter to me.

Yes, they do the same thing as Comcast, only they're not evil.

Jesus, they're giving you a number to call and they're having tech difficulties because so many people are calling.

Yeah, they've been rolling a message on the Viacom channels saying that the channels go out tonight.
That's pretty lame. To start off the new year with out Spike TV or Comedy Central makes me one hell of a sad panda.

I am so lucky. I switched from Time Warner to Verizion Fios a few months ago.

What the hell is FiOs anyway? a "cool" way to abbreviate "Fiber Optic?"

Anyway, to fellow Time Warner and Bright Star customers: Happy ####ing new year from your friends at Viacom.

Viacom will come crawling back. They'll lose ad revenue.

It's Verizon's name for their cable/TV/phone thing they have going. It's different from other fiber brands. It's like saying 'Chips Ahoy' instead of just chocolate chip cookie.

I don't really care much about those channels, except comedy central a little bit.

Now if they take away discovery channel, there is gonna be some dead babies.

So, it's just Verizon's name for fiber optic technology.

BEETS: I agree wholeheartedly. Heads would roll.

No, it's the name of their product. Their fiber is different than Cox's fiber or Qwest's fiber. The technology is the same but that is where the similarities end.

'What is your mode of transportation?'
'A Toyota.'
'Isn't that just a fancy way of saying car?'
'No, because there are different brands and different types of cars.'

ten to 1 PM, still got viacom. I think Time Warner got told by the customers.

UPDATE: Time Warner and Viacom have come to an agreement, and will finalize it over the next few days.

Fixed.

They're not as evil corporate-wise, but they still overcharge and (in my experience) provide poor service. Not that Comcast is any better.
