That was a hell of a duck. Figures, the only time he really tried was for his own well being.

I feel bad for the reporter because he lost both of his shoes, me missed Bush's face and he is probably on his way to Guantanamo, right now.

If he was hit in the face it would be all over the net by now.

Dan

It would, and is on the net that this happened. He barely ducked, it was just him putting his hand on his face, and him moving slightly down. That guy just had crappy aim.

Well a shoe isn't a very accurate weapon.

It is all over the net. I saw it on another forum before I saw it here.

I have to admit, Bush has pretty good reflexes. Good dodge on that first shoe.

And I think it's actually kind of interesting -- the reporter didn't seem religiously motivated or anything. I think he was just fed up with Bush's policies and what he's been doing.

I was surprised that Bush joked about it. I thought it would have been hilarious if the shoes hit him. However it's a huge insult over there, sort of like saying "#### you" over here.

I think it pretty much sums up the worlds opinion of him.
The fact that it was a shoe makes it even better. It's like saying that he doesn't deserve to have anything worth more than a shoe wasted in an attempt to hit him.

Obviously he is your favorite. You love him so much that you spell his name wrong.

Well, one thing is for sure. Bush was the top of his class when it came to Dodgeball.

Why does he come back up after the first shoe was thrown?

Wait a minute... <.<

In all of seriousness, even if Bush did do couple of good thing here and there (no, I am not bothering to give an example), his action overall is still horrendous, taking lives of Iraqis over so called "WMD", alienating the allies through arrogance, sending America into trillions dollar debt, disgracing his own party, etc.

This sounds awfully familiar (http://forums.xgenstudios.com/showthread.php?t=148909). Hmm... Maybe because someone else used the same rebuttal before? We weren't told about all the amazing things he has done? Because you say so? Cmon, using your logic, you can argue that William H Harrison was the best president in the world.

In fact... (http://forums.xgenstudios.com/showpost.php?p=2153913&postcount=16)

We're pretty disappointing. As a species, I mean. There are wars going on in the world, injustices against humanity. Of all the diverse forms of entertainment we've been given, of the wide spectrum of videos available on Youtube, a video of the US president being attacked by shoes is the most viewed.

And not just once. Nooooo. The video is on the most viewed front page a whopping 18 (!!!) of 20 times.

Seriously, it's not that fascinating. Unless this shoe had some hidden knives, explosives, or threatened to actually knock some sense into the #######, there's nothing very spectacular about it.

Then (By your standards) the assassination attempted on him in 2005 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_Presidential_assassination_a ttempts#George_W._Bush) was VERY interesting.

Jimmy Carter

May 5, 1979: Two minutes before Carter was about to speak at the civic center mall in Los Angeles, Raymond Lee Harvey was arrested carrying a pistol.[11] He later told authorities that he and another man, Osvaldo Ortiz, were hired to create a diversion so that Mexican hit men armed with sniper rifles could kill Carter. Charges against him were dismissed for lack of evidence.[12] Lol wut?
Andrew Jsckson
January 30, 1835: At the Capitol Building, a house painter named Richard Lawrence aimed two flintlock pistols at the President, but both misfired, one of them while Lawrence stood within 13 feet (4 m) of Jackson and the other at point-blank range.[1] Lawrence was apprehended after Jackson beat him down with a cane. Lawrence was found not guilty by reason of insanity and confined to a mental institution until his death in 1861.

That's right. Judging someone before they've actually done anything always looks professional and shows that you know what you're talking about.

At least Obama is interested in fixing America. Bush didn't seem to give a #### what happened as long as it offered a steady stream of money and soldiers.
