Does anyone here use skypein/out? I've lost the phone on my desk at work, and I can;t get cell service in the building, so I was considering it. However, their site is cryptic as hell, I can't figure out how much they actually charge for things.

I want to use it as a phone - all my calls will be to landlines, and I need to be able to receive calls from landlines as well. I don't know anyone who uses Skype.

Anybody else use it? Comments about quality/cost/etc?

How do you lose a phone and wouldn't it be easier to get another one?

They changed their policy so that graduate students are no longer allowed to have phones in their offices. Budget Cut.

Here's the current rates http://www.skype.com/prices/callrates/

USA landlines are $0.021 per min. From when I used it, the quality was pretty standard, but had a small latency issue. I know you can get your own number to receive calls with voicemail and whatnot but it costs extra.

According to PC Magazine, Skype has lost the top spot under VoIP servers. They're still the most popular though.

Yeah, I got that, but then there are connection fees, and other fees, and I can't figure out exactly how much having a number costs and if they charge for incoming calls.

I was hoping someone has actually used it and would know what the 'end of the day' costs are.

I use Skype but only PC to PC. My dad however has some experience with it.
