That would be a bad problem if water made stuff overheat.

Water shorts out the circuits.

Buy a new ipod.

If it's hot enough to burn you, stop leaving it directly under sunlight.
If it's warm and you're exaggerating, that's normal.

Things that have short circuits, like a watery Ipod, can heat up extremely fast and even catch fire. I advise you not to dump more water on it.

I, as a self-defragging computer system, feel your pain. I agree with the others, your iPod died and is not coming back, unless you take it to an experienced technician or someone who's good with anything electrical.

If this is not possible, buy a new iPod.

Check the warranty and call customer support.

Even if their is no warranty call CS anyway

If your warranty is gone, Good luck. It costs $150 to get an iPod fixed. I would know, but I'm not giving any more money to Apple. I am giving Sony some for a Psp. I suggest getting a PSP because it is definitively better than an iPod.

I've had over 5 iPods. If you listen to fools like CircuitBoard, you won't be getting anywhere.

Before you give up and go buy a new one do this:
1. Flicker the hold switch back and forth 2 times
2. Hold menu and the middle button until your iPod shuts off
3. Wait
4. ???
5. PROFIT!

The only time my iPod ever truly died was when I dropped it in the toilet while I was brushing my teeth.

Now do what I say and tell me how it goes...

...

It's new to me that condensated water can short circuit something, to be honest. Are you sure that was the problem?
