Members of the Westboro Baptist Church were chased away by a mob of what seems to be a few hundred people.
I say this is perhaps the most entertaining thing to happen, I wish I was there.
Discuss the Westboro Baptist Church, and this event.

I disagree with the Westboro's views, very very much so, and I think that what and the way that protect is incredibly despicable and very hurtful, I think that they have the right to express their views in a public forum, and I also think that people have the right to protect their protests. I DO NOT think that these people should have taken mob justice into their own hands, and any protests should be peaceful.
EDIT: I mean, ####, they were attacking the people in the van! That is not okay!

To come to a funeral to protest is very disrespectful. I mean to go so far to protest someone who died for them is incredibly stupid and mean. I'm glad that the people who attacked did what they did. However I do not think it should have risen to that level of violence.

Dude, this is old. I think I have this in my off key thread. But yeah, they are like rednecks on steroids.

I agree with you on the most parts except that I do not think these protests are acceptable. Hate speech and "Fighting Words" are not protected under the First Amendment to the Constitution, and clearly wearing shirts emblazoned with "God Hates Fags" and protesting funerals would be considered Fighting Words.

It's called common sense.
Those people went to say goodbye to someone they loved, who was killed hundreds of miles away from home by some insurgent.
Then they get these self-righteous pricks protesting at the funereal, calling the deceased a "Fag enabler" and saying that he or she's in hell.
Those WBC #######s were lucky to get away with just a smashed car window.
