Recently I have been planning to buy this revolutionary game system, but I am not even sure if it is worth the prices I have been seeing. If anybody still does think it's a good idea where should I buy it? Also several sites have 'bundle' deals, any of those good?

What are in the "bundles" you've seen?

My old roomates had a WII. Its a killer group game. Plus, unlike other consoles, you are actuve.
So its well worth the money if you are going to use it alot, and its features such as the fitness. But if you are just going to sit there and jiggle the remote like most people do, you might as well get another console of less cost.

If you get one, you have to get Super Smash Bros Brawl. If you would use it, go get one. It has lots of great party games.

I have one, it's not really for hardcore gamers, with the exception of ssbb, but I stick to my PC for hardcore games anyways. So if you're not a hardcore gamer, but want some fun, go pick up a wii. If you are a hardcore gamer, as long as you have a 360, or a PC, then a wii is still a solid purchase for some fun with your friends.

It is the worst, most unoriginal, piece of garbage, gimmicky, overpriced toy, ever.

Uhh...care to give any reasoning behind that opinion?
Also, unoriginal?

Yeah, where else have you seen a console like this? I agree that it should be priced less, but no need to insult it.
Also I do plan on getting one.

Its good if you have friends to play it with.My friends dont cme over often and Im beyond satisfied with it :/
Also, if you have liked previoues Nintendo consoles, get it.
SSBB, MKW, LoZ:Twilight Princess, Super Paper Mario, Boom Blox, Pokemon Battle Revolution(if you have Pokemon D/P), Super Mario Galaxy (like Brawl, its a must-have), and many other games, not to forget all the Virtual Console and Wiiware games you can buy with Wii Points!
And, if you havea GC, the Wii can play GC games, it has ports for GC controllers and GC memory cards.
N64 was the #### back in the day. Nintendo wasn't really all that great. I've never bothered with the Wii, and the Game cube sucked. The whole simulation thing is just something I'm not accepting. I like the similar game controls from PlayStation, and Xbox way too much.

It's a gimmick. It's controller is terrible and inaccurate, and the wretched $50 mini-game collections don't help.
The idea is so old, apparently everyone has forgotten about it and deemed it innovation.

And, on top of that, it's more rehashed Nintendo characters, the games getting more and more childish, and less creative. I mean, who can't wait for Mario Party 38, or Wario: Nose Picking.
The only two games worth a damn on the Wii are Brawl and Super Mario Galaxy. Both were ruined by the controller. Leaving a $250 bowling simulator.
Nintendo has done nothing right since the N64. The GameCube, DS, and now Wii, were/are terrible disappointments.
Nintendo is not the great company it once was, and it's a shame.

Funny enough, for not doing anything right, a whole bunch of people enjoy the multiplayer games :-)
Nintendo is doing everything right, obviously. They're reaping cash to no end. Sony, with it's several billion (I think it was billion?) dollar deficits in it's gaming division is doing something terribly, terribly wrong, for example. So is Microsoft. AFAIK, they're not exactly profitting either.
We're just not the demographic they're trying to reach anymore. They're doing exactly what they did with the NES back in '86: They're opening the world of video gaming to a new and broader audience. We're at fault for not taking them seriously when they said so two or three years ago.
