So, basically, a man goes out for dinner, doesn't want to pay the bill so he fakes a heart attack.
Anyway, he gets caught and what should've been a $23 steak is now ending up costing him $10,000 and 9 months in jail.

For fraud? Fraud can get you serious repercussions. Any form of lying in or out of court gets serious punishment, regardless of what the case is.

So the fine is actually quite standard, and may even be lenient.

Hmm why not walk into a light jog to your car from the restraunt? Or atleast fake something less serious and or ask for the checkbook, walk out and if they ask you about it tell them the money was most likely stolen and apologize pay them there money and leave?
