Hello xgen, I thought I'd stop back for a tad bit and post a topic that I have recently gained a lot of interest in. I know there are a few threads already with the same subject but I felt a new one wouldn't be out of order considering how old the others were.
Anyway, I have recently got into lucid dreaming. Now this time around I have decided to take all the steps to get one instead of praying for a random one. I have gotton most of my info from this site (http://www.dreamviews.com/community/index.php) and there are many interesting stories and techniques on how to LD.
I currently am keeping a dream journal, daily RC checks, ect. Note, this is my 3 day so far but I can effectively dream recall all of my dreams right after they occur. I have currently tried the D.I.L.D method (Dream-Induced Lucid Dreaming), and I hope to try out the W.I.L.D method out soon (Wake-Induced Lucid dreaming).
I will keep you updated on how each night goes and if I will get a lucid dream. Feel free to share your feelings on lucid dreams or any you may have had recently in this thread. Also feel free to go along with me in trying and post your results here. If you have any questions look at the site or feel free to pm or aim me at zmaster7272.
(Sorry for tl;dr format)
Good luck, AeroZ.

I've read about and find the topic very interesting, but I have never really pursued it. I find that I either don't dream or rarely remember dreams(only once every couple months or so).

There are quite a few techniques to remember your dreams. The one I practice is that as soon as I wake up from R.E.M (Dream cycle) I immediately write down as much of my dream as I can remember into my dream journal. I have 2-3 dreams a night usually. If you want to get into the subject farther please don't hesitate to talk to me on aim, and get a dream journal.

Going to start writing down my dreams, I must take over the universe with giant armies at my command.
Thanks for the link.
I write down some of my dreams if it is weird or different enough. I've only ever had one semi-lucid dream.

Happens almost nightly because of the medications I'm taking.

I don't really care enough to do it. I'd rather let my subconscious do it's normal processing.

Are these similar to premonitions?

I can't remember ever having dreams, so I can't write them down.

I've had lucid dreams before, but I usually don't remember most of it.
All I know is I usually take the time to either have sex, fly, or a combination of the both at the same time.
Really need to get on remembering these things. >.>

I tried to Lucid Dream once but I didn't however I have a very good testimony for writing down your dreams, to this date the only dream I remember is the dream I wrote down that one time. I had super strong forarms.

Oh are these the ones that you realize you're in a dream and you mess around and do what you want?

Yes.
You can obtain them by looking for similar things in all your dreams and remembering that when you see that similar thing that you are dreaming. When you come to that conclusion then you are basically in sandbox mode.
I have yet to reach lucidity yet. I will keep on trying, hopefully I will get it soon.

sweet.
I remember one lucid dream i had where i was in the doctor's office.
Doc said somthin about me having an allergic reaction, but I dont have any allergys so I knew it couldnt be true.
So I walk out of the room all suspicious like, and end up in an actual hospital.
I ended up at an applebee's with two nurses before i woke up.

haha oh i know, It's pretty lame that most dreams end before things get good, or when you're having a really great time.

We had to keep a dream journal in Psychology class, but I just could not remember any dreams. I tried setting my alarm during when I would be in an REM cycle, but I would wake up and not recall anything.
I ended up not turning the dream journal in and I guess she did not look at them because I got 80 out of 80 points, heh.

Not everyone has dreams and most people can't remember any of them a few minutes after waking up.. what kind of assignment is that?

Eh? I remember most of my dreams.
This one dream I had was. I in a empty room, plain ol' white walls. My mom was in the room to, we where just standing there. There was this door, Every time I took a step towards it A robot would look in from the door all cartoonny style as if it where to guarding us from escaping the room. Every time I would pull my foot back where it where It'll move out of the door So I could not see it. Then I think I woke up. Don't know this dream just stuck to me.
I had that dream when I was young ( maybe 5-8 years of age dont recall). I remembered most to all of my dreams when I recalled when I woke up.

People are extremely different. For me I can only remember about half of them, but if you try then you can raise the numbers.

This may seem weird but...
I was at ChuckEcheese, lots o' people there as usual, nothing out of the orinary... I walk into the ball pi, and who do I see? The rat and fat hog from Lion king, :B, I step in, they say "SHUT UP STOP TALKING" then i say "ok...." then they jump on me and try to kill me, as I run back to my ma'. Then she says (XD)"its okay they are just playing with you" then a gorilla pops out of the Pizza box and I wake up.
e___e
f course its a dream, I had it for like 5 days in a row when I was about 10 or so.

See, if you can train yourself to find the similarities in your dreams then you can remember that you are really in one.
I've had dreams every night since I stopped smoking.
Last night, I had a dream that I was flying to Alaska, and we crashed into the Bering Sea. For some reason, the plane had full body survival suits so that we wouldn't freeze, but I couldn't get mine on because I was stuck in coach and didn't have enough leg room to get it on.
I'm ####ing flying first class.
A few nights ago, however, I had a semi-lucid one. I had the power to control people's memories by moving them around in their brains. It was an effective form of mind control and I just went around screwing with people and making them forget their names or whatnot. Very fun.

I know, that was my argument when she first told us about the assignment.
