Erm, no.

Israelis want a frigging place to live. Palestinians want their land back, and don't want the Jews there.

Israel didn't want to take the entire area, but did so when they were attacked by 3 countries on the day they became a nation. They've had to fight against hostile people since day one. Literally. So it only stands to reason that they are aggressive towards anyone potentially hostile.

Palestinians on the other hand, were pushed out of their homes when Israel was created after WWII for the displaced Jews. They want their land back, but because they lack the military sophistication the Israelis have from the US, they resort to guerrilla tactics.

That's a gross misconception if I've ever heard one. The Palestinian civilians are as innocent as they could possible be. The Hamas certainly isn't and has done more than their share to deserve Israel's anger by endangering and killing Israeli citizens. I'm not criticizing Israel's military excursions into Palestinian territory, I'm criticizing the way they're going about it.

I don't know much about the situation but it's a bad one.
