It's coming out as a bonus with Duke Nukem: Forever.

...oh NOW I see what you're talking about. You mean this cheesy rip-off? http://www.kongregate.com/games/sonicbw/sonicbws-stick-rpg-2
No, this is not the real Stick RPG 2. Infact it's so bad I almost cried blood. Whoever made it didn't know what they were doing in flash. As for the release date, it's unknown. According to www.stickrpg2.com (http://www.stickrpg2.com) the game is 60%-70% done, but is on hold. I don't think they'll let all that work go to waste.
EDIT: About the link above; I dare anyone who reads this post to try it. See how long you can take it.

Two minutes. That was the crappiest rip-off of a game that I've ever seen.

The game is not 60-70% done, just the graphics side.

Okay, sheesh. Details. ;P Although, it's true. Then again since Skye doesn't post updates in the devblog we have no idea how much code is done for it. For all we know the code about be from anywhere from 30% to complete.

My god, I just played that, and that's horrible. You don't even die at 0 health, you just keep going into the negatives..
I could do better than this. And that's really saying something.

I noticed you don't die until you hit the edge of the screen. Imagine if you're playing Counterstrike or whatever and you get shot in the head; but you don't die until you go through a doorway. Also if your guy can phase through cars, why does he get hurt by them? lol

I have a feeling this game is a joke. I mean, how could someone take the time to learn (very basic)Actionscript, but not spellcheck his work?

Being 13 and downloading a flash .pdf and copying the walkthroughs?

Age doesn't have too much to do with flash skill, just determination. There's a few 15 and younger flash peoples here, that are pretty good, too.
Only thing I ever came up with in flash was this (http://www.freewebs.com/lunarmagic/protectxgen.htm); a few months ago. "-.-
I've given up on it(flash), at least until I can take a course or something in HS/College.

That's not so bad. At least better than what I could manage. I thought about learning flash, but my brother said it takes too long to make anything worth while and the program itself was kinda buggy. (mainly because he said the fill can tool never worked)

That's not too bad, could use quite a bit more polish though (reset would be the big thing to fix in that version).
As for courses on flash, don't even bother, they're worthless. If you want to learn to program, take a regular programming course, even if you learn Java, all the skills are transferable to actionscript. There's some flash nuisances you have to get used to, but I've overcome them by going to places like kirupa (not sure how up to date they are on AS3 stuff though), and flashgameu. The flash course I took in school was horrid and taught nothing of any value.

You have to understand the model, in that you can't fill objects, if you turn object drawing off or convert the object to lines(or maybe fill I can't remember as I never really use object drawing), then the fill tool will work fine.

You think it'd be worth it to stop working with AS2 and start going with 3? Because I found as2 easier to learn (Well, I used as1 more), but I don't know of it's limitations, or the advantages of 3.

What language did you learn? C++? Java? Both? Also that makes a surprising amount of sense...although I have to wonder why all the stuff you draw would be set as objects by default. Hmm. Maybe I will look into it after all.

I think the problem I've had has been aiming too high. I should open up a new flash file, and make something fun to play with the little knowledge I have.
Oh, and this topic is derailed, as of 10 posts ago. :3

I did that when I started drawing. It almost caused to me to quit. (unrealistic goals without a reasonable timeframe) lol offtopic

Maybe he'll help Xgen make games someday too.
