I won't put up any spoilers, but I can say this... as a Rabid Star Wars fan, who has read virtually the entire expanded universe, can pwn nearly all challengers at SW Trivial Pursuit, who can list continuity errors complete with references, and who was majorly and sorely dissapointed by Episodes I and II....

... I absolutely *LOVED* it. It was brilliant, and the climax was simply perfect. Forget your fears from the first two- this one DOES NOT dissapoint. Go see it, as soon as you can.

well i don't care when it comes out (today but who cares), i'm gonna see it as soon as i can, and i liked all the movies even I and II, ALL of them, they're all great and i will never stop loving star wars. i played almost every game i know about which isn't too old for my computer or isn't for sale anymore that's related somehow to SW, the oldest one i have is shadows of the empire (first time i played it was when i was like 5 or something, and bought it last year, i'm now 12 btw), i have SWG, KOTOR I and II, pod racer, RC, jedi knight II and III, and a lot more i don't remember right now.

I was there, and got in early and on TV since I was dressed as a Jedi.

*uber-geek dance*

There were a few moments of eye-rolling, but the suckage ratio was miniscule as compared to the first two. Still doesn't reach the genius of the original trilogy. But it's still preeeetty cool.

I'm going in another 3 hours or so. I had an 8:00 meeting so that pretty much blew my chance for the midnight screening, but I'm going to a 2:00 matinee.

That is disgusting... So it has... Naughty scenes, shall we say, in it? Just joking! Lucas wouldn't ever put mank like that in. Just expressing your true feelings about the movie.

And I love Yoda in this one..he's so dreamy! *dreams..*

The only thing I hated was how General Grievous coughed, then I realized what he was.... I liked it when Mace Windu turned on Yoda and killed him, I laughed at Yoda's corpse

Best movie ever :). Saw it yesterday

Definitely pwnes episodes 1 & 2, that's for sure. I still think it pales in comparison to epire strikes back. Lucas' diolouge just sucks too bad. Action sequences are great, but as soon as someone starts talking, it just goes downhill.

Liokea, I just might have to challenge you one day on that trivial pursuit boast (besides ROTS, I have every movie memorized word for word) ;)

Great movie anyways! Did anyone else dress up for the event? As a member of the 501st legion, I was in my Darth Maul costume which made it into our local news paper :)

I should go and see it a third time right now but it will have to wait till Monday!

ep.3 wasnt so good.... wait...... lucas isnt very good. the story has major potential, but the movie was just hanging on crazy effects.

denacioust
05-20-2005, 04:57 PM
Yeah, the movie was hanging way too much on effects. The entire film was simply explaining the concluding three films so if you know what happens in them then Ep.III is gonna be so predictable

it was a very moving, provocative movie...the bad part was those 9 year old nerdy jedi kids fighting with plastic lightsabers...except when me and my friend broke out laughing as....wait this would be a spiler.

it will be incripted into these sentences read the bold if your looking for it.
Hey when anikin went to the cats meow and the cat was dying. it was clawing and was crawaling everywhere. IT was up on the or a hill. on that show the fire effects were amasing. it looked like another planet.
it was uber weird....we laughed at pretty much everything in the movie......mostly because of something i wont mention.
it is a must see......meaning go see it
very sad

geowge... never, ever post again.

That was almost sad though, you knew exactly he killed those poor children. And the concept of seeing something like that happen was... woah. Although I would have found it more realistic if they had the various body parts lying around. As lightsabers tend to cut off arms real nicely.

But of course the movie was predictable. it was a prequel >_< That's like reading the end of a book and then calling all events that lead to the end predictable :-p

almost sad that was horrible when the younglings were......you know.....
it was an overall dark movie.
one of the best parts was the....kick....bad.....badbutt 12 or so yar old jedi....fighting the clones.

I'm watching the first two again this weekend then seeing the new one after. Of course, I've known how it will end (not just "evil boy Daddy man", but the whole battle on the planet thing) for a fair time now, well before E1 came out.

Morwin t3h Banninator
05-20-2005, 08:50 PM
Yeah....when he turned on his lightsaber in response to the little, terrified Younglings, I was, "Oh no he's not," and oh yes he did.

Poor baby Jedi! ;_;

I liked the double-lightsaber beheading. That was fantastic.

Rambo
05-20-2005, 09:04 PM
I think that part really well conveyed the power that the Dark Side can have over people. I thought the culmination of all the events in both trilogies from the last battle on to the end of the movie was great. I saw it at midnight Thursday, and plan to see it again.

*spoiler* Everyone dies *spoiler*
-_-

I have heard that the movie does put in the proper mangling of Anakin, do they deal with his arm and whatnot, or is it inaccurate?

Oh its very accurate. And pretty freakin cool how they show that. One of the best fight scenes in a long time.

Vader has a cybornetic lower-right arm, though I thought this injury was also attained during the fight.

Liokae
05-20-2005, 11:00 PM
Vader has cybernetics on BOTH arms- one was from his fight with Dooku in Episode 2, and the other was from his fight with Obi-Wan in III. They do show the injury- he takes off both his legs and his remaining flesh and blood arm with the final swipe.

But then why would he scream when part of his left cybornetic arm was 'removed' in VI? Who in their right mind would develop pain sensors aswell?

zyal

maybe cause it was partially bonded to real flesh? i dunno...

hm. about the movie, i was laughing when they called the kids younglings. made them sound like plants.

I just realized something after watching the old ones again..... Leia tells Luke she can remeber thier mom.... but she died at child birth.

I cant believe they made such a huge continuality mistake.

Never doubt Liokae's gender, if you care for your signature.

The acting of Episode III was bad, as usual. But who cares? the CG is cool.

In fact, it would be nice if they just replaced the actors with CG and get voice actors.

Yea, there was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much CG in that movie. Even scenes where there was no need for it entire rooms would be made of CG. For no reason. All that sorta takes you out of the movie. But it made up for it in sheer violence.

denacioust
05-27-2005, 02:17 PM
Yeah, so much CG and they really showed it off like there was some scene with Yoda and they really showed off the fact that he had hair and the had it blowing in the wind and him rubbing his hand through it.

But they killed the hot Twi'lek jedi! My friend and I were so pissed about that.

She was hot!

But the movie still rocked! and just because I feel like gloating, if only to make myself feel better, I saw it before midnight on wed. the 18th
