Are they allowed on the forums? I just want to know.

You'd be offending our vast numbers of redneck mothers.
I am a redneck mother and I will be extremely offended by your jokes.

So long as you're not directly flaming another forum member, there's nothing against it in the rules. I can't promise that anyone's going to laugh though.

Your mom jokes, I believe, are against the rules, but I guess redneck jokes could be allowed.
FLAMING (INSULTING OTHER USERS)
Posts clearly insulting other board members, directly or indirectly, are not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to:
* Name-calling ("You\'re an idiot", "You moron")
* Direct insults ("Screw you")
* Offensive orders ("Go kill yourself")
* Insinuations ("Are you stupid or something?") or insults toward family members ("Your mom...")
* Hit lists
In addition, do NOT flame "newbs." Treat them the way you\'d want to be treated.

If I were to say "Shadow, your mom is <insert joke here>." then it would be a flame. If you were to say "Your mamma so fat she needs two watches. One for each time zone!" without specifying who's mother, then I doubt it would be worth a ban for flaming.

Maybe not, but if you were here when The Polygon was banned, he did a very general flame directed at no one in specific, and he got banned for quite a while because of it.

He did a lot of bad things (http://forums.xgenstudios.com/showthread.php?t=49), so I'm not sure if this "general flame" is what got him banned. I highly doubt any mod would ban someone for telling an appropriate "your mama" joke.

Maybe so, but then again, I wouldn't risk it anyway.

"Redneck" and "yo mamma" jokes aren't inherently inappropriate. They're against the rules when they're used to provoke a negative response - be that flaming, trolling, or griefing.
