It is consided multi accounting if my little brother would like to make an account on the computer, or do we have to share an account?

If you are going to make an additional account, you must first receive approval from a moderator or an administrator. To receive this approval, simply send the noted official a private message containing the following information:

Reason why the additional account is wanted
Who will use this account
What the account's name will beIn providing this information (and after being approved), a moderator can ensure that you are not simply creating this account for reasons such as gaining post count or eluding past indiscretions.

NOTE: If you have a sibling who wishes to create an account on these forums, you must still receive approval. Otherwise, the moderators may come across this additional account and ban them "for no apparent reason" as the multiple has not been approved.

From the rules.

So how do I request approval?

No, you've heard wrong. Hoten is not a mod or admin.

...Not me. >.>

Yeah, I got something done like this before, 'cept it wasn't about making another account. It was about my real-life friend coming over to visit and he wanted to log in.

Just ask chejrw, he's usually awesome about it.

Lies.
Make sure your little brother isn't also using your e-mail address. That's how killingspree got axed, because of his 'friend' Robot using his e-mail address.

Alright. He's seemed to have lost interest here though.

I think he knows that you haven't taken my advice on changing your avatar yet.

Actually, I have a question concerning multi-accounting. Why is the punishment so harsh for mutli-accounting in relation to other offenses?

Actually, I have a question concerning multi-accounting. Why is the punishment so harsh for mutli-accounting in relation to other offenses?Uh.

Well.

It might be used to evade bans. >_>

Exactly. If you could just make a new account when you get banned for something else, what would be the point of even having rules?

Yes, but why a perma-ban as opposed to a week-long or month-long ban? deadly.white.ninja (aka Helmic Jr.) probably wasn't creating a multi to avoid a ban. A week or month-long ban automatically ends, while a perma-ban often results in the user, well, permanently leaving XGen. Isn't that a bit, well, harsh?

Not at all. It's the very first rule. We can excuse someone missing one of the more subtle rules buried way down the page, but making a multi account means they haven't even read the first few lines of the rules.

Or that they don't care about following our rules.

Either way, they're gone.

Either way, they're gone.

...until they file an appeal, that is.
