Below is a short series of pm's sent between me and another member. I am posting on their behalf. I do not know if the suggested error is the case, or if it is something else. Input from you more technological members would be appreciated. Thanks.hey i don't think you know me(i have been on xgen for a while but just now got an acount) but i have seen you in a lot of forums so i was wondering why i cant post in the forums. THANKS!!!!:)What do you mean, you cannot post in the forums? When did you hear this? Do you get an error message?

You're right, I don't really know you. Probably has something to do with the fact that this is the first I've heard from you. However, I did happen to see your name in the list. "CAPS" tend to stand out. If you have any other questions, don't feel afraid to ask.

Well when i click post reply it says:
CABLE, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation
i get it but i don't understand it(understand?) because i am not aware that any of it aplys to me so i am a little confused.
And thanks a lot for the help i really means a lot to know that some one is able to help with thing like this.Ah. I know what's wrong. Remember when you registered? You had to type in an adress. I hope that email was real, because you're about to need it. You'll have to log into that adress. You will have received an email from "webmaster@xgenstudios". Read what it has to say. Don't bother replying, it's a computer and is only programed to do that. Once you've activated your account, you can post. Since you haven't "confirmed registry", all you can do is read. Somewhat like confirmation (church) so that you can actually become one of the 'congregation'.

On a side note: don't worry about not trusting 'webmaster'. He never spams or gives viruses, so don't be afraid to read his messages. You may want, however, to turn off 'notify me of replies' in your options, as that can get you upwards of 2000 emails in a day.

Really, it's no problem.

~Snowy

Well how long does it take for the e-mail to arrive because it has been a while and i haven't gotten any thing yet. I was waiting for it but it never came and i don't think it is my address because i have went to opptions and it is my real address. I haven't blocked any one from sending me mail but it might be possible that my filter has blocked it and automaiticly deleted it.(would that be a problem?)I do not know. I'm going to post this in the help forum, see if anyone else can input. You'll see that in about five minutes.

I always thought that the only message webmaster sent you was your password, and if he can sign in now, I don't see what re-reading the message would do. That or I misread something.

Maybe he typed his email wrong.... whats his provider? Or tell him to check his bulk/spam mail filters.

Webmaster *can* send you lots of emails. See my inbox for details.

He can sign in, as you could before, but cannot post. As for you asking questions through me, it's not necessary. He can read, just not post. A one way phone, if you will.

It must have been filtered somehow. The email gets sent out pretty much instantly.

If it's not in his spam filter and he's sure the email he entered is correct... pm Jordan I guess.

Have him PM or e-mail an admin. The exact same thing happened to me in another forum. It'll work.

Hopefully. :p

Maybe he's trying to post in a locked forum, like Stick RPG 2.

Yay, problem fixed! All I did was lowered my junk e-mail filter and in a few days i got the activation e-mail. So the problem is finaly over.
EDIT: My first post, I am a little late adding this though.

Clearly the email resends itself if not regarded. Good.
