I love most kinds of heavy metal - speed, thrash, melodic death, tech death, metalcore, and a little bit of power metal.
Grindcore, black metal, and nu-metal aren't exactly my favorites though.

Best kind of music is metal. Favorite bands: Megadeth, Slayer, Rob Zombie, Metallica, n Overkill. Can't stand black/death metal, the microphone is an instrument too. Black/death metal was invented by a guy who decided to give Cookie Monster the mic. Been to Ozzfest 05/07, Family Values Tour 07, Hellyeah/Korn concert, n March 21st is Melon Arena Van Halen, May 4th Cleveland, OH Megadeth.

Metal is one of my favorite kinds of music. Nile, Amon Amarth, Pelican and Opeth are my favorite bands right now, I'm waiting for the next Opeth CD but they refuse to say anything about the release.

I forgot The Sword, them being in guitar Hero must have been a mistake since the prequisite for being in Guitar Hero is to often being a terrible band with no balls.

Iced Earth was big here a few years back iirc, I went through a stage of obsession with them. When it comes down to it, Days of Purgatory is the only Iced Earth album you need. All their best songs with Matt Barlow singing.
