You don't mind if people use it as a server for their websites?

That is one sexy website. The interface for the file hosting is ####ing awesome.
I will be using it in the future.

Really nice interface and look, I'll definitely be using that to share files.
Question: Can you create folder within folders (eg: I want to create a folder called photos in my private folder) and if so how?

Hey, I really love the file storage. Do you think it would be possible to add how much time remains and how much time has passed while uploading?

Excellent idea, I will put it on the list.
Do you think it would be possible to add how much time remains and how much time has passed while uploading?
Another Excellent idea, I'll see if I can't get both of these in the works.
Thanks to everyone that tested, and those that took time to post reply's.

Right now I'm trying to upload a .html and a .css, they get so that the bar is almost fully green, then stop. The flash isn't frozen, I can move the box around, it just won't upload.
Trying to upload it to my private folder.
Edit: Tried with Opera, Internet Explorer, Safari and Firefox. All do the same thing.

I love it! The set up is convenient and easy to use.
May I suggest making a column for the number of views each file has received?

How about Move file to folder and a Log Out Button?
Great if you have someone else in your family who needs to use it and also secures you data from family

Log Out Button?
The "Sign Out" button is the log out button.
What about renaming the file when you save it (eg: you have a file called "test" yet you want to change the name when you upload to "test1")
A cancel button to cancel the upload would be useful.
If possible, a batch upload program to upload more than one file.
Other than this really like this, it reminds me of Vista's graphics without the crappyness
I'm actually more interested in the website itself and your portfolio than the actual hosting. It's really quite amazing, terrific job.
Did you go to school or are you self taught?

Just put it on the list thanks.
If possible, a batch upload program to upload more than one file.
Not going to happen as long as it's free, for obvious reasons.
Not enough bandwidth and space.
What about renaming the file when you save it
On the list, thanks again.
Did you go to school or are you self taught?
100% self taught.
Thanks again for all the great posts, and the great ideas.

If it doesn't go down like imageshack and FileCram have been lately, it's damn near phenomenal.
Great job.

Did you make the entire site in flash or did you use other programs?
Not going to happen as long as it's free, for obvious reasons. You saw my 17 GB image folder coming, didn't you? :P
The ability to sort files. Mine got kind of shuffled into no particular order.

the whole things in Flash.
It also uses php to store file info in mysql db, which could be done also with a php file lookup system as well, but I like to use databases.
I could open source some of the php if you want to work on one of your own, although to be honest this project is over a year old, written before as3, so the php is prolly the only usable parts anymore.
The ability to sort files. Mine got kind of shuffled into no particular order.
click the name / date / file type at the top to sort.
It does sort oddly though, it goes .... first number, Captital letters, lower case letters. It also sorts by size via first number then second, so 7mb would be higher than 11mb, i didnt write a sort, i used array.sort()
You saw my 17 GB image folder coming, didn't you? I didn't write any special permissions, so the php will prolly cut you off after 8-10 mb per file, dont count on alot of files showing up in your folder if the file your uploading is over 8mb. sorry. The hosting module is more for project building, and sharing, so try to keep files under 8 mb a piece and there should be no problems.
Right now I'm trying to upload a .html and a .css, they get so that the bar is almost fully green, then stop. The flash isn't frozen, I can move the box around, it just won't upload.

I tested those two file types and they went up, if anyone else has this problem let me know.
Anyways,
-truimagz
I was kidding about uploading 17 GB at a time. Well, sort of.
EDIT: It won't let you paste a url into the background image area.
EDIT 2: Even when typed, the background wont load.
EDIT 3: You can't copy the url at the bottom of the screen.
Just some things to work on. An amazing website none the less.

Yes, you could download the file and upload it again but it would take more time so Move File to Folder?
Saves a Lot and Thx for the Sign Out, When I know there is one I started to look for it
I had no problem uploading html and css files. I had no problems copying the link at the bottom either.
Haven't tested the bg picture.
edit: BG works perfectly.

Why is everything in my Private folder "Not found" when I open it?

I am experiencing issues with module due to high volume.
I am sorry for any trouble, but there has been over 5000mb of transfer between yesterday and today, and I assume this is what is causing your problems.
Please try to limit your uploading untill the problem is resolved.
Even I am having trouble uploading to my server via FTP due to all of the traffic.
EDIT-
More space and a dedicated IP has been purchased, hopefully this will improve performance.

I encourage everyone to use the module as much as they like, this is the first major beta release, and I would like to have a solid rebuild list for the next beta.
if you don't mind please direct serious responses to the above forum post.

Thanks. This is pretty good. Better than imageshack because I have absolutely no idea how to get an account (meaning I have to re-upload every time), and photobucket because it reduces the image if it's too big. Plus, this gives easy file sharing.

Getting an account of imagshack was a pain in the ass!
Frig took me forever, their damn registration link was screwed up and I had to figure out what it was meant to be. In fact half their links were so I tried to send an email complaint and the link didn't work. I finally get to the comments page and then it wont send!
Imageshack is beyond crap.

I've refreshed twice since this, the error is still happening.
I'm trying to open a file called guildDone.png from my Private folder, my username is Lizard.
The link it goes to is http://truimagz.com/hosting/Lizard/Private/guildDone.png
If you're there, can you just tell us what the URL should be so we can at least see the things we've uploaded till you fully fix it?
Edit: None of these problems are apparent in the Public folder, I can upload everything and view everything fine in the Public folder. All the problems are with the Private folder.

Lizard~
I have fixed your issue.
You can read more on what the problem was here
http://www.truimagz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=19#19
And you can see the bug report / action here
http://www.truimagz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=15#15
That was a pretty nasty bug lizard, at first I thought you simply made an account somehow without a password, then I tried to create the same situation, and relized I couldn't create a Truimagz, and a truimagz account, it would come back invalid.
So I relized what was going on, you were logging in as Lizard, and it was letting you in as lizard, but all your uploaded stuff was being sent out as Lizard, and there was know Lizard folder, only a lizard one. So your data was being kept in mysql also, I imagine this was quite confusing for you trying to use it.
The problem has been fixed though.
