By now I'm sure all of you have heard that Benazir Bhutto is dead a major tragedy for the world. Just me or is Pakistan obviously a totalitarian government now (already was in my opinion). Musharraf is going to get so much flak from the western world because of this, we all know that he had a hand in it.

What the hell has Pakistan ever done for anybody, ever?

Yes but one of the few hopes for that country just got killed... So they're stuck with Musharraf and that is a very bad thing for us since he's almost as crazy as Bin-Laden.

It's not like this is a surprise.

Musharraf's not Bin-Laden-style evil. He's been a fairly cooperative ally in the war on terror, but the emergency rule incident raised my eyebrows for a while. I think it's doubtful that he was in on this.

I think its unlikely he was directly involved, but I don't know if that's going to stop some of Benazir Bhutto's more radical supporters from striking back at him, or whoever else they can. It all looks pretty nasty from where I'm (quite safely) sitting.
