Congratulations to us!

XGen Studios took home second place in the Arcademy Games Awards at Future Play 2007 (http://www.futureplay.org/). Stick Arena: Ballistick (http://www.xgenstudios.com/play/ballistick) was a hit at the Novotel Toronto Center, where many lucky attendees had the opportunity to play it first hand. Taking the second place award for “Future Indie Game”, Stick Arena: Ballistick (http://www.xgenstudios.com/play/ballistick) is on track to amaze SA lovers everywhere.

When is the Ballistick release date? Nothing has been announced yet, but rumor has it that BETA will start very soon…

So if you guys go on a 2 week holiday you basically are 4 days late back if you just go and come straight back.

It depends in which direction we fly. If we head West, and the plane is very fast, we can go back in time just enough to take a short vacation without ever leaving the office.

EDIT: To clarify, I'm refering to crossing time zones rather than travelling through time with the use of an FTL drive.

Nice. I always suspected Canada was some form of time machine. But, according to the map if you fly west you'll just fly straight off the edge of the map.

You would need a keyboard for that. I'm not 100% sure, but I think a USB keyboard in the Wii Browser can only type.

Multi = More than one.

The beta testing has shown multiplayer to cause huge problems for the game so they removed that feature.

Beta testers aren't allowed to reveal any information, be they pictures or otherwise, about Ballistic before it's released to the general public. It's in the NDA.

They're most likely bluffing untouchable. don't worry about it. because if they're not bluffing then it seems that so far maybe only the elites have access. But so far I have seen no proof that anybody has it so he is probably bluffing.

Edit: I have now been shown evidence of MM's beta testing. Doubt there is any truth behind the no longer being multi-player part.

The Elites were the only ones given the chance to Beta test, so I doubt you'll hear from someone outside. Unless Danny and Skye have friends, which is doubtfull.

The laser sword is awesome. If you come from the side of a bot, jump and shoot at the same time, you'll kill the bot while flying in the air on a particle stream.

Ah i see, well i have a proposition, if firefox is anythinig like internet explorer 7, if you are in a different tab it will say,(for example i am on the ioa website) it says IOA| and doesnt give out the actual URL, is it not against the Signing of the Non disclosure agreement to show the the tab(which im assuming says ballistick or Go Ballistick) Hopefully you understand? if not i can clarify.

And the beta is real. I would personally tell people about the game, but I signed an agreement. All I can really say is that it's still extremely buggy. They did improve the AI a bit, though.

Actually, I just got done talking to Danny about it coincidently. Only the xgen team has access to ballistick. Well the fake screen was faked very well. Almost everyone fell for it.

If you see anything that's flaming, then report it and it'll be taken care of. But it's part of my job to watch exactly that sort of thing, and what I usually see is either a legitimate complaint or some slight snark on one side, and a barely cohesive rant showing a complete lack of understanding of the rules on the other. And the poor posting is the only way people pick others out as a "Stick Arena Noob", as you put it- the people in the SA forum that are actually good posters don't get accosted on the other forums, because - gasp! - they're good posters.

I will spend my entire life in this forum for the next year to get in. Lol.

Good luck with that. Entry isn't connected to time spent on XGen in the slightest.

It's an observation you don't even have the ability to make, too. Look, I'll let you in on a little secret. You know a lot of those 'obvious' flames and such that go completely ignored? It's because a moderator hasn't explicitly read that thread themself to notice it and nobody has reported it. We don't get nearly as many post reports as you think. And as for preferential treatment on post reports? Dude, I don't even know who nine-tenths of the Elites are. It's a lot easier to just click the link to the reported post that Narcbot gives me and decide on my own if it's rulebreaking, and if it is, what the appropriate action is. Difference in severity of punishment can always be chalked up to different mods looking at different infractions, and a mod being in different moods.

So I'm not really sure where you're coming from here. You're accusing us of taking extra effort to be less fair in a manor that you have no way of observing if it's true or not. So are you just annoyed that there's a group called the Elites, or is there something more to it? Because I really don't enjoy having you act as if we're not doing our jobs properly. If there's anything specific you can actually point to, I'd be happy to fix it for you, but right now you're just blowing smoke.

I also believe that Danny must do the following:

-Make An Announcement on the new project (Done)
-Give Out Trailer to Xgen Fans (Done)
-Show Some pictures to get fans crazed (Done)
-Put out a beta test for the project (Working...)
-Put out a demo for the public (N/A)
-Fix patches and bugs (N/A)
-Release the Due Date (N/A)

Also tip to stick arena fans and players, the moderators on stick arena are not real. Danny will not make an announcement on stick arena the game itself, he will either do it on Xgen Main menu nor Xgen Forums.

They have already showed us a demo, They have already let people play it(at a convention), And skye said beta-testing would start soon. Do you really think they will pull an SRPG2 on us? At the most they will tell us its been post-poned due to financial problems or something. But I doubt anything like that will happen.

There is no possible way to save it. That is why they took out the moderators. Plus ballistick is supposed to be unhackable.
