Most of you don't seem to be aware of this, but in spammerland you can delete your posts within a short period of time, provided nobody else has posted in that thread.
So if you accidently hit the post button twice and end up double posting (it's happened to all of us), just delete the second one! Don't edit your post to say "sorry, I double posted", just get rid of it. The delete button in the little "x" icon beside the edit button.

Learn it, use it. The delete button is your friend.
EDITED > I thought you could do this everywhere, but I was wrong. So, now it's a spammers guide.

There's a delete button outside SL? Never noticed it.
If you can't be "bothered" to do it, or it won't work, just edit your post to say something like "sorry I double posted, someone please delete this".

Actually, the delete button is only available in SL and to mods/admins, therefore this topic is a waste. Boo-hoo.
Just do what Snowy says.

It shows up all the time for me...
Maybe I've been made a mod and don't know it.

Not sure. All I know, most people don't see this, so it only helps for SL. And no one uses it there anyway.

Yey. This noob guide is now officially invalid.
*dances with Snowy*

Very well. I tried.
*lock please*
Appearantly my mod-powers are incomplete

It could be useful for SL, if anyone bothered to use it (no one there listens these days. Darn oldin's).

But SL is a different story; double posting is allowed there, which is why no one bothers to use it. Also, it would be pointless if you did since the place is just.. spam.
But I'm sure you knew that already, which means that I may have wasted your time. Woo!

There's a difference between double posting for fun (like, say, in counting to a million) and doing it accidentally. It's nice to be able to clean up after yourself so you don't look like a moron.

Well, in that case, I'd be too lazy to do that. :D
