I know we planned for a battle of the bands type thing, but what happened to it? I suggest we start again and we make sure that we actually do it this time. I'll start off the first band by signing up for drums. Join the battle!

We would all have to record our own parts. Which means hugely different file types, file sizes, sound qualitys, self-editing mistakes, ect, ect.

Throwing it all together would be hard as hell unless we all use the same recording software and hardware...

Needless to say...this wont work.

What the hell, I'll try...

Ill do guitar, I need the MIDI cord before anything happens. I haven't really tried that much lead parts, so Ehm Ehm can do lead...

Whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm not that good at guitar, I've just been playing for a bit over a year. Playing pretty intensively, but still, its' just a year.

I've been playing for 6 years but I don't like this idea.

What do you play?

I only started experimenting with my own leads for a few weeks now.

If you want, Ill TRY to play lead but it might not be that good...

The best way this would work is to give one person the sound files and he edits them...

Thats assuming we all record with the same quality or it'll sound crap.

Not necessarily. I can play both, but I only own an electric.

I was just being specific. I wouldn't say that in real life, but it applies in this case.

Any guitar player can play both, they're pretty much the same thing. The only change is the sound

Yeah, I know that, I'm just saying, that in this particular case stating what guitar you own is sorta relevant.

I play precussion(Drums, marimba, xylophone.)

2 problems though.

1. I don't own an actual drum, just a practice pad.
2. I don't know how to record and post my music online.

Also, it'd take precise editing to make individual recordings sound like a piece of music.
