Blast em' full of grapeshot before they send you sinkin' to the briny depths first! The Treasure of Cutlass Reef (http://www.xgenstudios.com/play/treasure) will be yours for the taking, click here to take command (http://www.xgenstudios.com/play/treasure)!
Futurama is one series that was cut tragically short, though it has a large and vocal fanbase even now. Well, consider this a blow struck for internet geeks, science fiction fans and anyone with a real sense of humor: Futurama is coming back! Well, kind of. It's continuing through a series of full-length movies being brought straight to DVD. Hopes are high that good sales might bring the show back to the air, so be sure to grab a copy. Here's the trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNYtLJsUOAk) for the first in the series.
Sony isn't pulling punches. The lackluster response to the PS3 is not being taken lightly, and they hope to re-invigorate their ill-received console by cutting some fat (http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2007/10/05/sony-announces-new-40gb-ps3-to-launch-at-399/). The new version will have 40GB of storage (down from 60GB), lose some USB ports, and have zero backwards compatibility with PS2 games. They justify these cuts by reducing the price by about 1/3rd. Could this be the turning point...?
Orange Box (http://orange.half-life2.com/) launched last night. This includes Half Life 2 - Episode 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/26205.html?type=flv). I myself waited eagerly for the release and found myself sucked into the devious and addictive world of Portal. The gameplay centers around the ability to create and use dimensional rips that you can place in the environment. Looking through a portal, watching yourself looking at yourself... looking at yourself... is a little unnerving and very original feeling. Here's a Gameplay Video (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/26205.html?type=flv).
