Who drinks energy drinks? What kind do you drink? How does it work for you, and why do you drink it? I'm rather curious because I do drink some myself. Personally, I drink a brand called XS Energy Drinks. All the well-known brand names like Monster and Red Bull are really bad for you, based on what I've heard. They're full of sugar, caffeine, and all sorts of weird chemicals.
So can anyone recommmend an energy drink, besides XS, that is both healthy and tastes good? I know "healthy" and "tasty" don't go together so well, especially in the energy drink industry, but I am desperate for something new.

Same with me. I just like the taste. Also, Vault has 72 grams of sugar, so you should really stop drinking it, unless of course you welcome diabetes.
I haven't seen any energy drinks like that, although I've heard of an energy drink called 5 Hour Energy and it is supposed to not have sugars and crap like that. Haven't tried it though.

There is some brand named Noni that I am not too sure about. My grandpa sales it. You will have to look more into it on your own. I tasted some, it was pretty good.

Monster! And there's an anergy drink called Cocaine; those of you who get hyper easily SHOULD NOT drink it. It comes in bottles half the size of Monsters and one bottle of Cocaine= 8 Monsters.
It's crazy.

I like drinking monsters, they taste pretty good and one could of kept me up all night long but I tryed wicked hard to go to sleep and I fianlly did. Amps work to, I think monsters are better maybe thats just cause there bigger. Anyway I have a vault right next to me as I type it vaults just wake me up!
Drinking any energy drink is fine if you really are working that hard, if you loose those calories and in your sweat loose all that salt then an energy drink is fine. Being a lazy ass that runs for 10 minutes does NOT need an energy drink. You have do be working hard for at least a couple hours before you should drink energy drinks.

I don't drink energy drinks.
I don't do anything to drain my energy enough to need them. And I can pretty much stay as late as want with out one.

Simply put - no energy drinks are healthy for you. If you really want to get a boost of energy, just take some B vitamins and some Taurine before a workout. They work just as good without the caffeine and sugars that rip apart your system.

I don't really drink energy drinks for the energy. Just the taste. They taste soooo good. My favourite is jolt, but i love bawls to. I have about 50 cans that i saved up over the course of about 2-4 months

Zakob, that is horrible for your heart. Energy drinks can actually cause you to gain massive amounts of weight after you stop drinking them. Even worse, if you keep drinking them you can suffer heart problems down the line.

So I've heard. But I don't drink them often. Maybe 2 a weeks. It's better then diet pop. Aspertame dramatically increases your chances of getting brain cancer.

Lol 2 a week? I drink about 1 or 2 a month. If that. I like the taste, but they are just kind of too expensive for me to buy tons and tons of energy drinks. The only energy drink I have ever really had is Monster. Oh, and something called Noni I believe.

Good luck on the health end, but otherwise, go with something like shockwave or monster. Both are really cheap. If its health thats bugging you, drink green tea. I've replaced my entire liquid diet with energy drinks and tea. I've become alot more alert, and my Kill to Death ratio has improved from 1:1 to 5:1. For those whose say its bad for you, I have yet to see an unbiased report say its bad. Now go /wrists.

I don't drink energy drinks. They taste horrible and have no effect on my energy levels. I mostly drink water. It actually gives me a boost of energy if I'm tired, has a taste that you can never really tire of and is good for me.
Fruit is also another alternative. An apple in the morning will supply you with a much higher and sustained supply of energy than a cup of coffee would.

I'm a monster kind of person. I like the taste. It doesn't do much for me energy wise.

People will try and do to energy drinks what was attempted against video games. Saying they are bad for you, before saying they are actually responsible for violence. Though I may be inclined to agree, but I blame it more on caffeine.

Not to mention no one gets physically addicted to apples.
I really don't like energy drinks. The last time I drank one I got a migraine. The two aren't actually connected as the cause of my migraines occur a couple days prior to the actual head demolishing, but the power of is negative conditioning is pretty powerful.

That's only if you have a hell of a lot of them. Like more than one a day.
And yet you recommend taking Taurine before a workout. Taurine has never been proven to have any effect on energy. Any idea what the primary use for taurine is? Cat food. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taurine
Why can people differentiate between the different types of Monsters, or even Red Bull or Rockstar?
They all taste exactly the same to me (except the juiced ones, and they don't really count). Exactly the same. Liquid Smarties in a can. I love it.
90% of energy drinks taste exactly the same to me. Perhaps my tastebuds are more sensitive to the taurine or caffeine.
I drink whatever's on sale. Monster is preferred, because I like the can.
Most of the time I just drink coffee, though. It's cheaper.

Why? It tastes amazing, it's the only drink that gives me a boost and it's shaped like a NOS canister. X_x

I don't drink 'em, as they're stuffed with sugar and caffeine I don't need.
If I need a boost, I'll go for coffee, but not often.
I can extend my nights pretty damn far without caffeine.

Has anyone here ever had Rockstar 21? It's an alcoholic version of the Rockstar Energy Drink.

I've heard of two alcohol energy drinks...Rockstar 21 (as you mentioned) and something called Coke, or Coca, or something. I wouldn't be surprised if it actually had cocaine in it.
But anyway, I think alcoholic drinks can't be energy drinks because...well you get a hangover!

<3 Bawls.
Oooh, and if you drop a Penguin Mint into one, you get a Fizzing Blue Bawls.

Do you have any idea what you're talking about?
It takes something like 5 grams of caffeine in the bloodstream (ingested orally) to reach sufficient toxicity that you could die. And that's in a person who's sensitive to caffeine.
In an average cup of coffee, there's .1g of caffeine. That's 50 cups of coffee.
And then you factor in the half-life of caffeine in the human body, which is 6 hours.
It's nearly impossible to overdose on caffeine without either inhaling humongous quantities, injecting it, or eating a box or two of No-Doz.

Bawls or Gatorade.
I don't drink em. Unless you consider Mountain Dew an energy drink (it just has a lot of sugar). I've been drinking more and more water.
I drink Monster's cause there delightfully delicious. I don't actually find they have any effect on me, caffeine never really has. So I basically just like buying a 4 dollar *Canadian* drink for the taste..not the effect.

I've actually stopped drinking energy drinks since I first posted this thread.
I've trained myself to just down some gatorade whenever I feel the urge.
