i need Action Replay DS help

iv just go an Action Replay DS but the cheats arnt woking with New Super Mario Bros it does go to the part where nintendo comes up but it goes black:( after and just does'nt work what should i do?

What region Action Replay, and what region NSMB are you using? They usually have to pair up.

Are you using Action Replay codes and not Gameshark ones?
