Seeing as it's still in the making and all, we might be able to have a say in what the final game is like.
So post your ideas here!

I think the game will be sort of like Gods Playing Feild(if anyone has ever played it) mixed with Defend Your Castle.

God's Playing Field is a freeplay game. This has hp, probably levels (guns and arrows seem massively different in dificuty -.-;; )
Looks like a massacre to get to the next level sort of thing.
or maybe like Indestructo tank, where you can buy more people to fight to get more points to buy other #### :P

In the trailer, it looks like you're collecting coins and then one of the screenshots is showing things you can purchase. My guess is you slaughter some villagers and then get a break between "rounds" to buy upgrades using coins collected.
My only suggestion would be to make the FPS (frames per second) high so that the on-screen graphic representing my cursor will not lag behind the cursor's actual position.

Thats unrelated to the fps setting, when you do it right. The only time it can be problematic is if the game is lagging - in which case setting the fps higher would only aggravate the problem.

Not completely true. A balanced fps is the best.
Though I wish everyone had systems that could run at insane frame rates :)

Here's a list of ideas they could put in the final game:
- Easter eggs and references to Defend Your Castle. And maybe they could have references to the XGen Team. The MotherLoad NPC miners were 3-D models of Danny.
- A 2-Player Mode. (Although just 1-Player mode is fine.)
- Maybe on the final level there could be a dragon boss? Like the dragons in the enhanced DYC.
- A Creation Mode. (When players go to the menu and click "Creation Mode" it opens a program where you can make your own village and villagers.
- Customise the hand.
- Unlockables. (Probably going to be in there anyway.)
- A Shop to buy things (Like explosives and helpers etc.) (Also probably going to be in there anyway.)

Thats a bit difficult, seeing as its a mouse based game. It would have to be multiplayer over the net, which isnt going to happen for this game.

Customizing the hand...
Colors maybe? Unlock different hands when certain levels are reached? (It looked like there was a boss of some sort, maybe a reward for beating a boss)

The idea I really wanted to do was user created campaign levels. Basically, create a set of levels, then share so everyone could play.

That would pretty sweet.
It might be a little late, but a portal system with rating and commenting on each other's creations would be pretty cool. Maybe show the most popular levels, or maybe a featured section. This would add unlimited replay value to the game and keep people coming back to the game for much, much longer.

That completely falls in line with my thoughts. Unfortunately, I dont see it being something that can make it into the August release, but if its something you support (and the game does well), I personally believe it would be awesome to bring in a later patch. It would depend on a lot of factors.

Make it so you get a code if you beat the game pacifist.
Patch castle so if you input the code, you have to bring as many people into your castle as possible, and putting people behind it converts them into propoganda people, and they show sticks to the castle. Would be oh so fun! :D

"Similar goals"? I call it blatant disregard for creativity in exchange for a quick game. Not that it's a bad thing, considering it's a free game. But it does sort of seem like stealing an idea, as I've never really seen the God's Playing Field concept before (at least not as the sole concept of a game, I'm sure similar minigames have existed)

The mechanics look more similar to DYC then God's playing feild. I'd consider God's playing feild a mini-game, because it doesn't have anything to hold my attention for more than 20 minutes.

I was pulled into it the end of last year. I dont know how long Skye and the others were pondering over the project before that, but thats about when we actually started production (part time of course).

It would be cool if you could grab people and toss them at others for a double kill!!

I have the stick of doom, but its not pointy, and it golden streams more then it shows doom.
Ok now a serious part, Id like PTV's enemies change a bit, like get stronger with armour, But never tanks, lets stay medivel. Plus, Also would be nice to be able to brainwash villagers and turn them on your side like defend your castle, but instead of them being suicide hobos, they can be soldiers too with swords :)

I don't see how that would work with it being a prequel to DYC and the most advanced tech the stick dudes had was dynamite. Though I guess if at the end of the game the hand destroys the whole village so they don't have anything left.

Here is an idea, if you have a tutorial, make the characters who you practice on do some annoying dance with their butt while singing "Throw me! I am your enemy! Throw me! I know you really want to do it! Throw me! I've got tons of celulite! So throw me now before I get really fat and old!" or something. And then when you do he could be all "Heal me! I'm kind of bleeding really bad. Heal me! My arm is dangling from me hand. Heal me! Its green and purple and its bland. Heal me! This is really bad! Heal me before I finish this song. Heal me before I finish this..." Gets crushed...

i am thinking of a new spell for ptv, the underworld spell where undead hands come up from the ground and drag 1 vilager underground where he is eaten by zombies

Hmm... I just thought of something; A spell called "Downpour" that sends out a dark, lightning cloud that does damage to large amounts of enemies, especially to enemies wearing metal.
- Firewave - Name pretty much explains itself. A wave of flames overtakes some of the screen, doing large damage.
- Mirror Image - A second hand appears on the screen, which moves around randomly, distracting enemies into attacking the mirror.
- Bladestorm - An ultimate power spell, raining down blades, taking out and killing enemies.
- Corrupt Aura Totem - Placed wherever you want, the totem sucks the life out of lower-level enemies for 5-10 seconds, creating souls that can be created into allies that attack your enemies. The totem can be destroyed.
I have more to come as I think of them.

low gravity/high gravity-at first you get low gravity for 5 seconds, the villagers will walk slowly and you can throw them all high up in the sky, and then it changes to very high gravity, and it will rain villagers!(a bit like the title screen of DYC)
Flail-your hand will be equipped with a flail(Ball and Chain)
The Force-you can pull low level villagers towards your hand with the RMB
Confusion-screen will become dark and it shakes around(will occur when hand is hit by blunt object)(maybe clubs and maces for the peasants?)
Earthquake-the hand will grow slightly and then pound the ground, causing the floor to shake and slightly injure all villagers.

I liked them. I also forwarded them. However, since we are wrapping up we dont have time for anything new; we've actually had to scale back a little. But they have been thrown in the list for possible features if we get to do updates or ports.

I think there are 12 spells total, 4 of each neutral, pacifist (good), and Antagonist (Evil).

Look at the second screenshot. theres 4 spells, so 4x3=12. But i think some of the neutral things are like upgrades.
